Return the Honorblade of Chorrol to Laythe Wavrick at Castle Chorrol Laythe Wavrick will give you the Escutcheon of Chorrol.

Return to Weatherleah and talk to the Jemane brothers to receive 4 Grand Soul Gems.
Give the Honorblade of Chorrol to Fathis Ules Fathis Ules will reward you with a large amount of Gold, based on your level.
Keep the Honorblade of Chorrol to Yourself You can keep the Honorblade of Chorrol, but the quest will remain incomplete.

During the Sins of the Father side quest, you will obtain the Honorblade of Chorrol and can choose to return it to Laythe Warrick, give it to Fathis Ules, or keep it for yourself.

TES IV Oblivion Laythe Warvick

Returning the Honorblade of Chorrol to Laythe Wavrick rewards you with the Escutcheon of Chorrol, an enchanted Shield that gives a bonus to Endurance and Reflect Damage. The Jemane brothers will also give you 4 Grand Soul Gems, useful for enchanting your weapons.

While Fathis Ules offers a significant Gold reward, the items from returning the blade simply outweigh the money.

The Honorblade of Chorrol is a powerful weapon that deals decent damage, making it useful in the early game. If you're still early in your playthrough, you can keep the blade until you're stronger, then return it to Laythe Warvick for the rewards to maximize your gains.
