Why Use Zero Weight Items?

Prevents Being Over-Encumbered

Zero weight items are great to have in your inventory, since you won't have to worry about being over-encumbered.

There is a limited amount of weight you can carry, which is determined by your Strength attribute. If you go over this limit, you will become over-encumbered. This significantly slows your movements and makes you unable to jump, run, and fast travel.

Items with a zero weight value will not contribute to your total weight, since they have no weight to contribute.
