How to Recruit Mage Apprentices

Complete Confront the King during the Mages Guild Questline

In order to unlock the Mage Apprentices for recruitment, you'll need to complete entier Mages Guild questline. Once you become the Arch Mage, you should be able to speak to the Mage Apprentices in the Arcane University have them follow you as companions.

You can recruit any of the Mage Apprentices in the Arcane University to become your follower as you explore Cyrodiil. Unlike other named NPCs, these followers are not essential, which means they die instead of getting downed once their HP drops to 0.

Unlike other recruitable companions, Mage Apprentices in the Arcane University will respawn, allowing you to keep recruiting them should they perish along your journey.
