Step How to Get Hatreds Soul

Chorrol Oblivion Gate
Hatreds Soul is found in a hidden area inside the Chorrol Oblivion Gate, that only opens after completing the Dagon's Shrine main quest. If complete, head to the Oblivion Gate just south of Chorrol's main entrance.

Chorrol Oblivion Gate Local Map
Once inside, immediately turn right and head northwest toward the farthest corner of the plane. You'll only need to jump over a single lava gap between the rock islands.

Door to The Fume Vaults
At the most northwestern corner where you can't travel on foot any further, you will find the Door to The Fume Vaults tucked away by the lava shore.

The Embers of Hatred
Inside, the path to the Embers of Hatred room is guarded by a few Dremora and Atronachs. Find and enter this room towards the end of the cave.

Dark Hate Key
Defeat the two Dremora Hatred Keepers stationed here, and loot both Keys of Dark Hate from each of their bodies.

Door to Halls of Dark Hate
Head through the Door to the Halls of Dark Hate, using one of the keys found on the same floor where you killed the Dremora. Then make your way to the very top, past a second locked door, which you can open with the other key.

Runed Portal
Enter the Runed Portal that you'll find at the top past the second locked door.

Hatreds Soul Loot
The Hatreds Soul bow and arrows will be in one of the Forbidden chests in this area. The other Forbidden chest will have the Hatreds Heart, a powerful Daedric Mace.

By far the best bow is Hatreds Soul, for it has the highest base damage of all bows, and has powerful Fire Damage and Drain Speed effects on hit.

The Fire Damage adds significantly on top of the high base damage, and the Drain Speed effect synergizes perfectly with bows, making it much harder for enemies to close the gap while you shoot them.

Frostwyrm Bow (Best Early Game)

Uderfrykte Matron Location

The Frostwyrm Bow is the best bow you can get right out of the gate, from a semi-invisible Uderfrykte Matron near Dive Rock. Just be careful when trying to get this bow since the terrain isn't even and there's a chance you might fall off the mountain while fighting.

What makes the Frostwyrm Bow strong in the early game is its solid base damage combined with its enchanted Frost damage, allowing it to effectively deal both physical and magical damage to your targets. Use this bow for the earlier quests until you can find the Hatreds Soul later on.
