The numbers on the left are the stats with no IV (0) or the lowest possible stat a Pal can have within a specified level.
The red numbers on the right are the stats with max IV (100) or the highest possible stat a Pal can have.
※This table does not include bonuses from Passive Skills, Partner Skills, or any other stat boosts.

Hidden IV Stat Values for Pals

IVs are hidden stats each Pal has for each stat that randomizes their HP, Atk, and Def to a specific range. Having 0 IV for a stat means the Pal gets a 0% bonus, while having the maximum 100 IV gives a 30% bonus to the respective stat.

For example, if two Lamballs have the same passives and buffs, the Lamball with the higher HP IV will always have a higher HP pool.

A Pal's IVs cannot be altered but can be used to influence its child's IVs through breeding. Therefore, breeding is an excellent option to pass a parent's high IV and favorable Passive Skills to obtain a Pal with the highest IVs possible with the preferred Passive Skills.

Does Not Spawn in the Map By Itself

Jetragon does not spawn in any area on the map in the overworld by itself, regardless of whether it is day or night. This Pal can be obtained by hatching Eggs produced by certain Pals or via other means.

Hatch from Huge Dragon Egg

Palworld - Htaching Eggs
Jetragon can be hatched from a Huge Dragon Egg.

Pal eggs can be found spread across the islands as interactable objects that can be picked up.

They can also be obtained through breeding Pals together in a Breeding Farm. Once you have an egg, place it in an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch.

Tips to Defeat Jetragon

Exploit the AI from a Nearby Cliff

Cliff Exploit Location

Overworld Image Map Image

There's an exploit where you can draw Jetragon's aggro by attacking it and luring it to a particular spot to get it stuck there, allowing you to attack it without retaliation.

The specific cliff to do the exploit is on the western side of the mountain. While Jetragon is stuck in this location, you can freely attack it from the cliff below.

Lure Jetragon to the Cliff to Get it Stuck

Once you attack Jetragon and it starts to chase you, lure it to the western cliff, then move to the other cliff below it.

Poison and Burn Jetragon for Health Percentage Damage

Once Jetragon is stuck, you can shoot it with any weapon or Pal skill that can reach it. However, we recommend inflicting the poison and burn status effects to drain Jetragon's HP quickly.

Since Jetragon is a very tanky Legendary Pal, poison and burn will be very effective as they deal a percentage of the afflicted enemy's HP as damage.

We recommend using a Poison Arrow Crossbow and a Fire Arrow Crossbow to inflict the status effects. Still, Pals that can inflict status effects can also work.

Lure Jetragon Off the Cliff for Fall Damage

Another exploit you can do on this cliff is to lure Jetragon towards you and intentionally lead it off the cliff for a lot of fall damage. Once you get Jetragon stuck on the high-ground cliff, you can move around the lower-ground cliff to have it chase you, and then you try to make it chase you off the cliff.

This is a rather difficult and inconsistent trick to do, so using status ailments might be a better strategy. However, if you do the exploit successfully, it can deal up to 90% of Jetragon's HP as fall damage.

Be Well Equipped for the Fight

Legendary Sphere is Recommended

Item Materials
Palworld - Legendary Sphere Icon Legendary Sphere

The Legendary Pals naturally have low catch rates due to their high levels. For the best chances to capture Jetragon, a Legendary Sphere is recommended.

To increase the chances of capturing Legendary Pals, you can upgrade your catch rate at Statue of Powers using Lifmunk Effigies.

How to Get Legendary Sphere

Bring Ice Element Pals

Pal Details
Palworld - Frostallion Frostallion ・Frostallion is the best choice against Jetragon as its Partner Skill, Ice Steed, not only boosts Ice element damage while mounted but also converts the player's attack to deal Ice element damage instead!
・The Alpha Boss version you get from the wild in the Astral Mountains has significantly better stats than a normal one.
Palworld - Foxcicle Foxcicle ・Passively increases the Attack stat of your Ice Pals with its Partner Skill, Aurora Guide.
Palworld - Reindrix Reindrix ・Reindrix keeps the player cool when mounted in hot environments such as Mt. Obsidian with its Partner Skill, Cool Body.
Palworld - Ragnahawk Ragnahawk ・A mobile flying mount you can use to inflict burn on Jetragon with its Fire element Active Skills.
・Other Fire element Pals or any Pal that can inflict burn will also do.
Palworld - Rooby Rooby

Palworld - Kelpsea Ignis Kelpsea Ignis
・Rooby's Tiny Spark and Kelpsea Ignis' Lava Spout Partner Skills both increase the attack of your active Fire Pal while they're in the party.
・Great support Pals when using Fire Pals to inflict burn on Jetragon.

Though any Pal with good stats and Active Skills can defeat Jetragon, Ice Pals are especially recommended. Frostallion is the best offensive Pal options.

At the same time, Reindrix is a good all-rounder Ice Pal to bring, and Foxcicle can be an excellent support Pal to boost any of your Ice Pal's damage if you choose not to do the Cliff Exploit.

Alternatively, you can bring Fire Pals and effectively reduce Jetragon's HP with the HP-percentage damage they can inflict from the burn status effect.

List of Ice Element Type Pals

Get Heat Resistance Level 2

The extreme heat around the whole area surrounding Mt. Obsidian requires two levels of Heat Resistance to endure. A Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor would be the best choice against the heat while battling Jetragon.

Bring Powerful Ice Element Pals

Palworld - Bring a Powerful Ice Element Pal

Since Jetragon is weak to the Ice element, it's best to prepare a powerful Ice Pal to battle it with. While Frostallion is an excellent choice for an offensive Pal, it is also a Legendary Pal that may pose quite a challenge to capture.

To create the best Ice Element Pal to fight against Jetragon, it's best to breed good passives to your desired Ice Pal and breed to pass down high IVs from the Pal parents.

Use the Rocket Launcher to Stun

The Rocket Launcher is not only a powerful weapon, but it also briefly stuns enemies hit in the explosion. While mounted on Frostallion, your rockets deal Ice-type damage instead, giving you a good damage boost against Jetragon.

Bring a Pal with a Healing Partner Skill

Pals like Lyleen have Partner Skills that heal the player for a fixed amount. If you have difficulty surviving boss fights, bringing one to heal you in a pinch is a good idea.
