| Description | I met Barthel Gernand on the road southeast of the Imperial City. He and his family wish to build a settlement at Cropsford, but have been unable to do so thanks to marauding goblins. I should talk to Mirisa about how to clear the goblins from the settlement site. |
Goblin Trouble is located in Crestbridge Camp. Speak to Barthel Gernand to start the quest.
| List of Objectives | ||
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Steal the Totem Staff from Timberscar Hollow | |
| 2 | Decide What to Do with the Staff | |
| 3 | Return to Barthel Gernand | |

Speak to Mirisa and she'll recommend stealing the Goblin Totem Staff from Timberscar Hollow to end the Goblin War. The location will be marked on your map and is just a short distance from Crestbridge Camp.
The goblins in this area are busy fighting each other and it's possible to sneak past all of them to just grab the totem staff. Alternatively, you can also defeat any goblins you encounter as you make your way through Timberscar Hollow.

| Choice | Result |

| Return the Totem Staff at Cracked Wood Cave | The Goblin War ends peacefully. |
| Keep the Totem Staff | The Goblin War ends but the Bloody Hand Goblins will track you down and attack you for the rest of the game. |
Once you retrieve the Totem Staff, make your way back to Crestbridge. Mirisa will give you ideas on what to do with the staff. We recommend simply returning the staff to the Bloody Hand Goblins by placing it outside Cracked Wood Cave to stop the Goblin War.
Alternatively, you can keep the staff for yourself which also effectively ends the war, but Bloody Hand Goblins will come after you for the rest of the game, often appearing when you fast travel or are simply exploring the world.

Regardless of your choice, return to Barthel Gernand who will thank you for the help which also completes the quest. He also mentions that if you come back later, they will finally be able to complete Cropsford and that you'll get a Hero's Welcome when you come back.
Cropsford takes at least 4 in-game weeks to construct and once you return, you'll find a chest on the second floor of Bincal's house full of leveled gold which respawns every week!
Completing the quest rewards a chest in Bincal's house in Cropsford filled with leveled gold which respawns every week.
If you decide to keep the Goblin Totem Staff, you can use it as a weapon though you will constantly be attacked by Bloody Hand Goblins for the rest of the game.
