Star Savior Overview
Star Savior (formerly known as Project Star) is a forthcoming gacha-style mobile RPG developed by South Korean studio Studiobside, the same team behind Counter:Side. The game is currently in its final development stages, with a planned release set for March 2026.
In the Nebula Observation Agency (NOA), players will be tasked with guiding Saviors who have inherited the power of stars to rescue a fading cosmos. According to promotional materials, it is described as "the journey of nurturing star-imbued saviors," wherein players will be building bonds with characters as they embark on an emotionally charged odyssey.
Similar to Umamusume: Pretty Derby, it is a narrative-driven character development game. It, however, has a four-character team turn-based combat with a character-raising system—nicknamed the "Journey"—where players assume the role of a Captain fostering the growth of their team.

Star Savior Gameplay
In Star Savior, players are responsible for guiding and nurturing a roster of characters—referred to as Saviors—through a progression-centric system. Like Umamusume: Pretty Derby, the game has a training or growth system, which includes interaction and bonding mechanics that allow players to deepen connections with their characters. These interactions likely influence their growth and performance.
There is combat, however, delivered via a turn-based battle system where players deploy their trained Saviors and utilize their unique abilities or skills. Based on its promotional materials, the game will also have a variety of other content, social and otherwise
