The April 25 update of Oblivion Remastered brings backend tweaks and nothing gameplay-related. Read on to see if there are official patch notes and a statement from Bethesda.

April 25 Update Patch Notes

Backend Tweaks Only

There are no official patch notes for the Oblivion Remastered update that rolled out on April 25, 2025, as the update was intended to be a hotfix that didn't directly affect gameplay. However, due to the influx of players reporting issues with graphics and upscaling, the official Bethesda Support has commented on the contents of the update:


The hotfix pushed live on April 25, 2025, was for a few backend tweaks and nothing directly impacting game play, but we've seen it’s affected some Microsoft Store players' UI settings for graphical settings, specifically, related to upscaling and anti-aliasing.

Any graphic settings adjusted prior to the Microsoft Store hotfix are still enabled and function normally. However, you will temporarily be unable to adjust those settings due to the issue with the settings UI.

Is There a Fix for Upscaling?

April 25 Update

With the April 25 hotfix, Upscaling Technique cannot be turned back on. Bethesda Support confirmed that the team is looking into resolving the issue regarding players not being able to adjust those graphic settings.
