Seeking Your Roots starts as soon as your harvest Nirnroot for the first time. You're then directed to ask botanists and alchemists throughout the world regarding the strange plant.
Nirnroot are commonly found near sources of water such as on the banks of rivers. These curious plants make a distinct sound and also glow in the dark which makes them easy to spot.

Ask Any Botanist About Nirnroot
Once you obtain your first Nirnroot, you're directed to ask any alchemist or botanist throughout Cyrodiil regarding the curious plant. They will then direct you to speak to Sinderion who is located in the West Weald Inn in Skingrad.
Note: Unlike other plants, Nirnroot does not respawn so avoid using these in creating potions before starting the quest!
Talk to Falana Hlaalu in All Things Alchemical
We recommend speaking to Falanu Hlaalu who is the local alchemist in Skingrad in her shop All Things Alchemical. This will help reduce your travel time as the West Weald Inn is just a few steps away from her shop.
Talk to Sinderion About Nirnroot
Speak to Sinderion in the West Weald Inn and talk about Nirnroot and he'll explain how he can use the plant to create a powerful Elixir of Exploration. He'll then mark Shadeleaf Copse on your map where you can harvest some Nirnroot.
Shadeleaf Copse is located just northeast of Skingrad and is a rather unremarkable location that's just a small pond. Harvest the three Nirnroot here.
Gather 100 Nirnroot for Sinderion

| 20 Nirnroot | Moderate Elixir of Expedition |
| 30 Nirnroot | Strong Elixir of Expedition |
| 40 Nirnroot | Grand Elixir of Expedition |
Sinderion will request 10 Nirnroot initially, but this will increase to 20, then 30, and 40 on each succeeding visit. To limit going back and forth to Sinderion, we recommend harvesting 100 Nirnroot in total before handing in the first 10 Nirnroot.
After handing out the last 40 Nirnroot, Sinderion will give you the last potion and will let you know that his research is complete, which also ends thhe quest. Sinderion will also buy 10 Nirnroot from you moving forward, making him a great source of gold.
Seeking Your Roots Rewards
Grand Elixir of Expedition
Completing Seeking Your Roots rewards you with a Grand Elixir of Expedition as Sinderion's final reward.
Ability to Sell 10 Nirnroot to Sinderion
Sinderion will also purchase 10 Nirnroot after completing the quest, making him great source of gold if you have extra Nirnroot.
