How to Recruit Louis: Best Class and GiftsComment

Louis being A-tier is absurd. I'm not hard-core, and I don't min-max my character's, but using louis with Lance power, Lance guard, Sigurd, great knight,, and a spear, I was able to easily clear a level 40 trial area. Easily the best physical unit in the game, taking nothing from physical attacks, and doing a metric ton of damage. Easily the best Lance user in the game, and the best tank against all physical damage.

>>1 hammer, armorsleyer, low speed, and there are a decently high amount of magic enemies in the game. And backup enemies melt him. He is overrated, bottom of A but also worse than jade

Honestly truly the most overrated character in this game. I will take Jade instead thank you very much. Also, he's just creepy staring at people

>>4 Yeah, no. Not doubling & getting doubled does not matter for tanks. Armorslayers, casters, & flyers pose no danger to a correctly built Louis. Enemy stave effects are meant to be countered by your own staves. I skipped all grinds on my initial Maddening playthru (fixed growths) and Louis was still nigh invincible. Goldmary joins too late, her extra 5% DEF growth is useless as her HP growth falls too short vs Louis’. PT: Level all used units evenly instead of just damage dealers.

I suggest using him as a Great Knight. His Def is still great, the mobility is highly appreciated, and he gains enough Res to withstand magic attacks. U can use resolve+ if u think that u need more def/res, and... Kill to your hearts content. Oh, and thanks to the mobility it's also easier to combine him with Chloe. Their personal skills work well together.

I am surprised Louis isn't higher. Other than against tome users, what is his weakness? It's also weird to not list Sigurd as he his ring as well.
