Speak with Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol
Speak with Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol and choose the Duties dialogue option to start the quest.
Find Viranus Donton
Find Viranus Donton at his house across the street from the Fighters Guild. Speak with him to recruit him as a follower.
Travel to Nonwyll Cavern with Viranus

Head to Nonwyll Cavern north of Chorrol's north gate. Explore the cave and kill the enemies inside. You do not have to worry about keeping Viranus Donton alive as he is marked as an essential character and cannot die.
Find Galtus Previa's Body at the North Chamber
Once you reach the second zone of the cave, head towards the northernmost room to find a Savage Troll and the body of Galtus Previa.
You can pick up the Broken Shield beside the body to obtain some extra dialogue from Modryn once you return to him.
Return to Modryn in Chorrol
Return to Modryn in Chorrol and choose the Galtus Previa dialogue option to complete the quest.
The Master's Son Rewards
One Fame Point
You will receive one Fame point and a random weapon upon completing this quest.
