Speak with Azzan in Anvil
Speak with Azzan in Anvil and choose the Contract dialogue option. He tells you a scholar named Elante has contacted the Fighters Guild for protection and is in Brittlerock Cave.
Head to Brittlerock Cave Northwest of Kvatch

Head to Brittlerock Cave northwest of Kvatch and east of Fort Sutch. Enter the cave to find Elante waiting inside.
Protect Elante As You Reach the Shrine
Speak with Elante of Alinor inside the cave to start the escort mission. Follow her as she walks through the cave and kill the enemies inside.
Alternatively, you can run far ahead of Elante and clear the cave of enemies. Elante will stop moving if you walk ahead of her and will only move forward if you stay close to her.
Once you reach the shrine, speak with Elante and she will tell you that she wishes to stay at the shrine and gives you the 2920, Morning Star (v1) as a reward. You can exit the cave at this point to head back to Azzan.
Return to Azzan
Return to Azzan in Anvil to complete the quest.
The Wandering Scholar Rewards
2920, Morning Star (v1)
You will receive the 2920, Morning Star (v1) when you successfully escort Elante of Alinor to the shrine in Brittlerock Cave. Note that you cannot get this reward if she is killed in the quest.
Gold and 1 Fame Point
Azzan will give you gold and 1 Fame point for completing this quest. Note that he will not give you this reward if Elante of Alinor is killed when escorting her inside the cave.
Quest Progression
The following quests will be available depending on your progress in the Fighters Guild:
- The Fugitives will be available from Burz gro-Khash in Cheydinhal.
- Trolls of Forsaken Mine will be available from Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol if you have completed this quest and The Fugitives.
