The Necromancer's Amulet Location
Arcane University
The Necromancer's Amulet quest is located at the Arcane University. Speak with Hannibal Travern to start the quest.
If the quest does not appear, make sure to wait for one or two in-game days and speak with Raminus Polus to be promoted as a Wizard. Speak with Hannibal Travern afterward.

Speak with Hannibal Travern at the Arcane University
Speak with Hannibal Travern at the Arcane University. Choose the Necromancer's Amulet dialogue option to add the quest to your Quest Log.
Head to Fort Ontus

Hannibal Travern will mark the location of Fort Ontus on your map. It is located southwest of Chorrol. The area surrounding the fort may contain aggressive Marauders and Bandits.
Use the compass and head south to find the double door entrance. Open the Old Wooden Door to Fort Ontus to head inside.
Find Caranya Inside the Fort
The fort contains non-hostile mages that will lead you directly to Carayna's location at the center of Ontus Understreets.
Speak with Caranya and select the Necromancer's Amulet dialogue option. She will attack immediately after, so kill her and take the Necromancer's Amulet.
After killing Caranya, all the mages inside will reveal themselves as necromancers. Kill them and escape the fort.
Return to Hannibal Travern at the Arcane University
Head back to the Arcane University and speak with Hannibal Travern. Choose the Necromancer's Amulet dialogue option to complete the quest.
The Necromancer's Amulet Rewards
Master-Wizard Rank
While this quest does not offer any rewards, completing it alongside The Bloodworm Helm lets you get promoted to Master-Wizard rank. Speak with Raminus Polus to advance to the next rank.
