The Assassinated Man Walkthrough
Talk to Vicente Valtieri
Speak with Vicente Valtieri and choose the Contract dialog. He will tell you that in this new mission you will not kill your target, Francois Motierre, but instead stage his death.
Vicente will provide you with the Languorwine Blade, a knife coated with Languorwine poison, and an antidote for the poison. The effect of the Languorwine poison on the knife is for single use only.
You can know more about the poison and the knife from Vicente if you choose to speak with him further.
Stage an Assassination of Francois Motierre

| 1 |  Head to Chorrol. It is located far to the west of Cheydinhal. Find Francois Motierre's house. From Chorrol North Gate, go straight to the tree at the center. His house is the second one to the right. |
| 2 |  You need to open a Hard lock to enter the house. Once inside, Francois Motierre will give you the instructions. He wants you to stage the assassination in front of the enforcer Hides-His-Heart. He also warns you that Hides-His-Heart must not be killed. |
| 3 |  Go up the stairs to your left. This area has a good vantage point for waiting for Hides-His-Heart to appear. When Hides-His-Heart enters the house, go down the stairs and then slash Francois Motierre with the Languorwine Blade. |
| 4 |  Quickly exit the house and flee out of Chorrol to avoid confronting Hides-His-Heart. He will chase you down, but when you get far enough he will not be able to catch you. |
Administer the Antidote to Francois Motierre
Far outside of Chorrol, adjust the time up to the next day. Return inside Chorrol, and go to the Chapel of Stendarr.
Make your way down to the Chapel Undercroft, and head further inside to find the displayed body of Francois Motierre.
Administer the antidote to him.
Defend and Escort Francois Motierre
When Francois Motierre wakes up, zombies of his ancestors will also rise from their graves. Defend him from the zombies and escort him out of the chapel.
Lead him inside The Grey Mare. It is located to the side of Chorrol South Gate, past the statue.
Report Back to Vicente Valtieri
Head back to the Sanctuary in Cheydinhal and speak with Vicente Valtieri to complete the quest.
The Asssassinated Man: Do You Need The Undercroft Key?
Wait 24 Hours to Open the Undercroft Door
You need to wait for 24 hours to be able to open the Chapel Undercroft Door.
If not, the door will be locked and it will not be opened even if you stole the key from the Orc priest. It also cannot be lockpicked.
The Assassinated Man Rewards
Bonus Reward: Promotion and Sanctuary Well Key
You will receive the amulet Cruelty's Heart as a reward for completing The Assassinated Man quest.
If you managed not to kill Hides-His-Heart, and Francois Mottiere remains alive, then you will also receive the bonus rewards. You will advance to the rank Eliminator and get the Sanctuary Well Key.
The Sanctuary Well Key will allow you to access the main room of the Sanctuary through the well beside the Abandoned House.
