The Night's Nexus is pretty weak for a boss at this stage of the game. It sports a measly 90,000 HP and its attacks barely deals a thousand damage.
Unleash all your strong attacks against it to fell it quickly. Delaying the battle is disadvantageous since you'll be fighting the Night's Nexus three times and its resource depleting moves will make your party weaker for the battles to come.
Since the Night's Nexus is vulnerable to paralysis, having a Phantom/Ranger combo will allow you to easily lock the Night's Nexus' movement.
This will also prevent it from countering your attacks allowing you to dish out damage without the need to equip the Counter-Savvy support ability.
The second fight will use your current BP's status when transitioning to the third phase. Making all your characters Brave and have negative BP may spell a team wipe so be careful!
The third phase's hands, while low in HP, will prevent your from targeting the Night's Nexus so taking them down is crucial.
Having a 2nd damage dealer that can dispatch the arms quickly is highly suggested for this fight. Take note that even AOE attacks will not make it to the Night's Nexus if even a single hand is alive.
The Night's Nexus' hands will resurrect itself after a few turns have passed. To defeat the Night's Nexus easily, bank up your turns then unleash all your assault after taking down the hands.
The Night's Nexus' HP is only around 60,000 during the third phase so a well leveled party should be able to defeat it in one turn.
The Night's Nexus' most annoying move is its Wellspring Depleted move that will literally deplete your MP pool. Having a way to instantly replenish your at least, replenish a lot of MP for your party members is highly recommended.
The Salve-Maker in particular, can use Widen Area to use Ethers or Elixirs to the whole party in a single turn.
The Night's Nexus can use Tragic Denouement which can apply all debuffs at the max level to all your party members. Purebringer can instantly cleanse these debuffs so you can continue the fight!
A Courage Squandered reduces everyone's BP by one.
The Night's Nexus can counter any damage dealt to her by using Courage Squandered. Avoid over braving or even using Brave at all to avoid negative BP for your characters.
Reaching Critical HP is the sweet spot for the Shieldmaster to automatically guard your allies.
If you can get everyone's HP to critical levels while the Shieldmaster has an instant death resist armor, your win against the Night's Nexus is already guaranteed given you can focus healing the Shieldmaster before he falls to the Night's Nexus' attacks.
