Best Sub-Jobs for Black Mage

Bard

Bravely Default II - Image URL Bard.png

The Bard class allows you to provide buffs to your allies. There will come a time where casting offensive spells may not be the best course of action so gaining a support skill for your allies is a great skill for a Black Mage. It also opens up the ability to amp up your magic stat when enemies are defaulting so it's not an entirely defensive Sub-Job for the Black Mage

Bard Job Abilities and Proficiencies

Oracle

Bravely Default 2 Oracle.jpg

The Oracle Sub-Job is great for the Black Mage since it can fully utilize the Black Mage's High Velocity Spells to make all the three spell casts hit enemy at full damage. You can also use Elemental Impairment to make enemies more vulnerable to your spell casts to deal even more damage!
