This is a guide to Asterisks, the required key items to gain new Jobs in Bravely Default 2 (Bravely Default II) for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn about Asterisks and how to obtain them.
List of Contents
In previous installments, Asterisks are key items that are obtained after defeating enemy Asterisk bearers. Upon victory, you'll be able to unlock that Job for your party which greatly expands the options for character classes as well as more Job combinations.
In Bravely Default 2, they no longer are classified as key items, but their use remains the same.
There are several Asterisk bearers around the world and defeating them will allow you to claim their Asterisk as your own. Take note that these battles shouldn't be taken lightly and their difficulty is through the roof! Make sure to prepare accordingly when you're about to fight an Asterisk bearer.
Asterisk bearers are fought while progressing the story. They are considered boss battles and it will be impossible to progress the game without besting these foes. No need to fret on missing these classes!
Not all Jobs can be obtained just by playing the game's main story. You'll have to scour the land far and wide and aid people in need. Doing so may lead you to fellow Asterisk bearers that you woulnd't fight otherwise by just clearing the main game.
