The Salve-Maker can maximize the efficiency of items in the game. Doubling effects at level 12 job level, gaining the ability to use an item to all party members, and even mixing them for new effects, the Salve-Maker is a valuable job if you have a lot of stocked up items in your inventory!

Thrust and Parry	Support	1 Slot	8	Reduces damage received by 15% x the number of weapons equipped. Damage is reduced by a further 20% if the Highwind or Dual Wield passive abilities are in effect.

Upon the start of Chapter 3, you'll have access to the Rimedhal Region. South of Rimedhal, there is the small town of Enderno where several side quests may be done. This includes a quest where you help the mayor of the town wake his brother up. After completing this quest line, he'll reward you with the Salve-Maker Asterisk.
