The main dragoon's identity and what makes a Dragoon a Dragoon. The Jump ability is a vital ability especially against some bosses and learning to use it can be the difference between victory and defeat.
An ability that turns negative ailments to possitive ones? It's one of the best as long as that ailment doesn't kill you before it triggers. Especially helpful for tankier class units.

Momentum | Jump abilities will be performed more quickly, and will be more powerful the more weight the user is carrying. |
Highwind | Any additional effects applied to regular attacks also apply to Jump. Also, there will be no stat reduction for wielding two weapons as long as a sword or spear is equipped in the left hand. |
Speciality 2 Can only be learned after leveling the Dragoon to Level 12.

Below are the weapons proficiencies for the Dragoon Job. Refer to this section to know which weapons are best suited for the Dragoon Job.
As you progress through Chapter 3, you'll have to enter the Serpent's Grotto. At the end of it, Martha will challenge your party to a battle. By successfully taking her down, she'll grant you the Dragoon Asterisk.
A fast class will always be a great partner for the Thief and its Godspeed Strike ability.
Silence combo works extremely well. Dual Wielding via the Dragoon's level 12 Speciality also increases your damage output which makes capturing monsters via Mercy abilities easier.
