The Peistes (lesser snakes) can be an annoying bunch. They have the same movesets as Mushussu and their damage is not something to scoff at either. They are weak to earth attacks so eliminate them quickly using Sword of Stone or strong Monk abilities like Flying Heel Drop or Qigong Wave (if their defaulting).
As always, prioritize poisoning the big guy either with the Black Mage's Poison or the Beastmaster's Toxolotl.
Toxolotl has a 100% chance of poisoning and is a preferable method.
Despite eliminating all of its underlings, Mushussu is still a force to be reckoned with. It will slowly damage your party with poison and bring them to medium health using Hot Swat. It will also bank turns for a deadly four hit combo which can cause a team wipe.
Keep your HP high at all times and default when the Mushussu has 3 BP. If you have successfully poisoned the Mushussu, simply keep on defending and keeping your HP up and it will fall shortly soon after.
