The Phantom can reset its moves by using its Nightmare moves. Use this when farming enemies or when a boss fight with multiple enemies have a dying enemy to get a free turn for yourself!
Carefully choosing your Sub-Job is a vital role for the Phantom. The Phantom itself cannot apply status ailments on its own but with it's speciality Results Guaranteed, you have a 100% chance to inflict an ailment to the enemy as long as they're not immune to it!

|Become the Lightning||Command||20% HP||2||Increase the user's physical and magical attack by 25% for three turns. Stats cannot be increased beyond 200% of their base value.|
|Dream Within a Dream||Command||36 MP||3||Perform three quick physical attacks on a target.|
|Shroud||Command||46 MP||4||Perform a powerful darkness-imbued physical attack on a target.|
|Milk Poison||Command||46 MP||5||Perform a physical attack that's extremely effective against poisoned targets.|
|Critical Amp||Support||1 Slot||6||Critical hit damage is increased by 30%.|
|Flit||Command||15% HP||7||Enable the user to evade a single physical attack.|
|Sick Twist||Command||46 MP||8||Perform a physical attack that's extremely effective against targets suffering from contagion.|
|Turn Tables||Support||1 Slot||9||Evading an attack will cause BP to increase by one.|
|Rewarding Results||Support||2 Slot||10||Inflicting a status ailment on a target will be rewarded with an extra action.|
|Dual Wield||Support||1 Slot||11||Equipping multiple weapons will not reduce their effectiveness.|
|Never-Ending Nightmare||Command||106 MP||12||Perform an extremely powerful physical attack on a target. If the target is defeated, another action can be performed.|
|Burial Shroud||Command||96 MP||13||Perform an extremely powerfull darkness-imbued physical attack on a target.|
|Frenetic Fighting||Support||1 Slot||14||The maximum number of hits dealt by the 'Attack' command is increased from 16 to 32.|
|Ethereal Edge||Command||66 MP||15||Enable the user's weapon to ignore enemies' physical defence for three turns.|
A post game move that makes you ignore an enemy's defense. A true assassination ability!
The Phantom Job is worth mastering just for this ability alone. It greatly outshines the Sword Master's 2 Hands Are Better Than 1 Ability so make sure to learn this for everyone!
|Achilles' Heel||Any physical or magical attack that successfully exploits an enemy's weakness has a 50% chance of inflicting critical damage.|
|Results Guaranteed||Expends 40 MP to guarantee that any ability effect with a percentage chance of occurring will be triggered.|
Speciality 2 Can only be learned after leveling the Phantom to Level 12.

Below are the weapons proficiencies for the Phantom Job. Refer to this section to know which weapons are best suited for the Phantom Job.
As you progress the story of Chapter 4, you'll have to investigate the disturbance within Savalon's Council of Elders. After it is revealed that Marla has been interfering in the affairs of Savalon, you'll have to stop her assassination attempts. When you do so, you'll claim the Phantom Asterisk.
The most broken Job combo in the game. The Salve-Maker's Compound ability coupled by the Phantom's Results Guaranteed is like shopping for the next status ailment you'll inflict on the enemy team. All for the measly cost of 40 MP per enemy.
An infinite paralysis Job combo. While this can also be done using the Salve-Maker, the Ranger actually has abilities that deals more damage to paralyzed enemies so if your aim is to paralyze lock a certain enemy, this Job combo will reward you more than the Salve-Maker.
