How to Play the Phantom

Pick out low HP Enemies

The Phantom can reset its moves by using its Nightmare moves. Use this when farming enemies or when a boss fight with multiple enemies have a dying enemy to get a free turn for yourself!

Apply Status Ailments

Carefully choosing your Sub-Job is a vital role for the Phantom. The Phantom itself cannot apply status ailments on its own but with it's speciality Results Guaranteed, you have a 100% chance to inflict an ailment to the enemy as long as they're not immune to it!

Dual Wield

The Phantom Job is worth mastering just for this ability alone. It greatly outshines the Sword Master's 2 Hands Are Better Than 1 Ability so make sure to learn this for everyone!

Phantom Speciality and Special Ability

Specialities Effects
Achilles' Heel Any physical or magical attack that successfully exploits an enemy's weakness has a 50% chance of inflicting critical damage.
Results Guaranteed Expends 40 MP to guarantee that any ability effect with a percentage chance of occurring will be triggered.

Speciality 2 Can only be learned after leveling the Phantom to Level 12.

As you progress the story of Chapter 4, you'll have to investigate the disturbance within Savalon's Council of Elders. After it is revealed that Marla has been interfering in the affairs of Savalon, you'll have to stop her assassination attempts. When you do so, you'll claim the Phantom Asterisk.

An infinite paralysis Job combo. While this can also be done using the Salve-Maker, the Ranger actually has abilities that deals more damage to paralyzed enemies so if your aim is to paralyze lock a certain enemy, this Job combo will reward you more than the Salve-Maker.
