When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Jesse are +Spd and -Res. Jesse's Spd is among the highest in the game, and due to lacking an exclusive weapon or skill of his own, Jesse needs to rely on raw stats to compete with top metagame units.
There is no clear dump stat as Jesse's base stats are well rounded. We recommend -Res as a bane since he is expected to fight physical units due to his role.
We recommend +Spd when merging Jesse up to +10 to ensure he is competitive against top tier metagame units.

Jesse is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Jesse's inheritable Hexblade Sword+ grants him unit cannot be slowed by terrain (does not apply to impassable terrain)
and 【Hexblade】 at the start of each turn.
In combat, Hexblade Sword+ grants Jesse Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 and bonus true damage equal to 10% of his Atk.
While not as good as exclusive or even Arcane swords, Hexblade Sword+ provides enough to be worth using on a budget.
Jesse suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.
Sword Infantry units are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Jesse replaceable by better units.
Jesse is yet another Sword Infantry unit in a game filled with strong units of a similar archetype.
He will need significant investment to even be competitive with them, and will be inferior if these other metagame units have a similar amount of investment.
