Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Ursula will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Atk/-Def

The best IVs for Ursula are +Atk and -Def. A +Atk IV is best for her as she wants to deal as much damage as possible. With this IV, the range of units she can take out with one hit will increase. Since Blue-Crow Tome has a 1.5x multiplier against cavalry foes so a +Atk stat maximizes this damage multiplier. Her Def is of less importance so it is safe to take it as her bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Ursula to 10. This is for the same reasons as above! If you have access to her special effect refine on top of a +Atk IV at max merges, she can take out a lot of enemy foes in one hit especially cavalry foes! If you prefer raising her Atk with other means, you can go for a +Spd IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

A very expensive build for Ursula that maximizes the damage she deals in the player phase. Def/Res Ruse combined with Atk/Spd Menace allow for maximum debuffs. If a refresher unit is present in the party, Ursula can apply the Ruse debuffs herself by equipping a Rally assist skill. The debuffs also activate or enhance Atk/Spd Catch!

How to Use, Explanation

This is a simple Blade tome set for Ursula. Joint Hone Atk helps give her massive Atk boosts. The recoil from Fury 4, helps put her into Desperation 3 range. Once she is set, she can score lots of one-sided engagements.

Ursula is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Blue-Crow Tome is Effective on Cavalry Units

Ursula's exclusive weapon, the Blue-Crow Tome deals 1.5x damage against cavalry units. Characters that have weapons strong against cavalry units are rare. This allows Ursula to fill in specific niches other blue tome units cannot., and allows her to deal with strong cavalry units such as Legendary Eirika and Veronica

Growing Thunder deals fixed damage to a wide range. It is a great special in maps that have straight paths. It is strong against enemies that have high defenses as it deals fixed damage regardless of Res or Def. A lot of strategy can be put into using Ursula's Growing Thunder. You will be surprised at its true potential when used correctly.

Death Blow 3 is a strong attack-phase skill

Ursula has access to the skill Death Blow 3 which grants her +6 Atk everytime she initiates combat. This makes her a powerful player phase unit. Take note that this does not work in the enemy phase.

Ursula's Weaknesses

Low Durability

Ursula has low survivability stats. At level 40, she sits at 19 Def and 30 Res. If Ursula is attacked, there is a high possibility that she will be taken out. This means she is not a good enemy phase unit. After attacking with Ursula, we recommend that you reposition her to safety using movement skills.
