Recommended IVs

Stat Superboon/Superbane IV Recommendation
HP (17) HP Superbane ★★★☆☆
Atk (15) Attack Boon ★★★★★
Spd (13) Spd Bane ★★★★★
Def (3) No Def IV ★★★☆☆
Res (3) No Res IV ★★☆☆☆

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws

See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd / -Res

The best IVs for Young Eliwood are +Spd and -Res. Young Eliwood's Spd is at base 46, and with further investment, is enough to outspeed majority of the metagame after the effects of Inborn Idealism kick in.

His Res is abysmal at only base 20, and no amount of investment will protect him against most magic damage attackers. It is a safe bane to take.

+Spd for a +10 merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Young Eliwood up to +10, as his Spd is high enough where investment will have him outspeed his foes most of the time.

Young Eliwood Strengths

Fiery War Sword grants stat bonuses, Null Follow-Up, and damage reduction

Young Eliwood Attack Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

Young Eliwood's exclusive weapon Fiery War Sword gives him Null Follow-Up, 40% damage reduction to enemy's first attack, and bonuses to all his stats, though capped at +17.

These effects, along with the new Spd/Def Clash 4 on his kit and his other exclusive skill Inborn Idealism, make Young Eliwood a great offensive unit

Inborn Idealism is a great support skill!

Young Eliwood's exclusive C skill Inborn Idealism provides great support capabilities as it grants【Bonus Doubler】and【Null Panic】to himself and his ally with the highest Atk for 1 turn.

This effect makes both Young Eliwood and his ally tougher to defeat, as the given bonuses effect create a huge stat swing that cannot be reversed by Panic effects.

This skill also only has a relatively simple trigger condition which is including either a dragon or a beast ally to be deployed onto the map.

Young Eliwood Weaknesses

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Young Eliwood takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
