Temperature can greatly affect how you can explore and gather resources around your base. If the area is too cold or too hot, it will be challenging to go out, so ensure that you are in a suitable environment where the temperature doesn't change too fast to avoid this problem.
Players who are starting out in Meyer's Market or Deadsville should not worry about this, as the temperature won't shift quickly there!

The most important thing for a base is to be close to a source of basic needs for survival like animals, plants, and water. You will be able to build and expand your base faster if you are near those areas.

Ores are important for building facilities, gear, and tools for you base. It's always best to consider the location that will give you access to different ores, including the ones you will need in the endgame, which are the Tungsten Ores and Aluminum Ores.

Newly made Endless Dream servers will have tons of Dream Zones around the spawn area, limiting the places you can build you base. It is best to consider to build one not too close or too far from them, so you can easily explore and participate with clearing the Dream Zones when needed.
