Lunar Revelry was released on September 24, 2025. It came out with the Version 2.1.4 update with the updated mechanics for the Crimson Moon with new features, armor, events, deviations, and rewards.
The Crimson Moon and its mechanic was previously featured in Season 0 event, Lunar Oracle, and was the first event featured in the Visional Wheel.
Lunar Revelry Release Date and Features

Lunar Revelry is the content for the Season 2 of the Visional Wheel. It features the Crimson Moon, which has the same mechanics from Season 0's Lunar Oracle. The main difference between the two events is that the duration of the Crimson Moon has been extended to 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, a total of 30 minutes real time. Being exposed to the moon will inflict you with Lunacy, which quickly lowers your Sanity.
During this event, a Crimson Moon rises over Nalcott, transforming the world with heightened dangers and unique opportunities for brave Metas. The lower your HP, the greater the resources you'll collect—proving that high risk comes with high rewards during the Lunar Revelry.

During a Lunar Revelry, all players are infected with Lunacy, a condition that causes your eyes to glow red and plunges you into a frenzy of desire. While under its influence, your Sanity steadily decreases down to a minimum of 20% when outside your territory, and your Sanity recovery rate is significantly reduced. To recover Sanity, you must defeat enemies.
However, Lunacy isn’t just a curse—it’s also a boon. The condition grants a resource acquisition buff that becomes stronger as your HP decreases, allowing you to gather more rewards at greater risks. Lunacy also reveals the world’s true form, enabling you to discover hidden Oracle Crates in settlements, and deviated plants in the wilderness. But beware: gathering resources in the wild carries the risk of triggering Deviant attacks.
If you die during a Lunar Revelry, the Crimson Moon will grant you a blessing that protects you from Lunacy for the duration of the event. However, you will lose a portion of your Lunar Whispers based on your current Sanity level. The lower your Sanity, the more Lunar Whispers you will lose, so it’s crucial to stay alive and manage your health effectively.

When the red moon rises, Deviants in the wilderness become more aggressive, shrouded in a crimson mist, and deal increased damage. Unique Elite enemies will also appear, often targeting settlements and creating significant challenges for Metas who are unprepared.

Oracle Crates appear in settlements during the Lunar Revelry, requiring Lunar Whispers to unlock. These are usually guarded by an Elite. These crates come in various grades, with higher-tier crates demanding more Moon Whispers but offering more valuable rewards. Inside Lunar Oracle Crates, you’ll find:

Major game modes such as The Prime War and Stronghold Conquest will also be influenced by the Lunar Revelry, adding layers of complexity. If a Chaosweaver descends during this time, the affected region will endure both Lunacy and the effects of the blizzard or volcanic storm, making survival even tougher.
The Lunar Revelry provides opportunities to mix and match gear, mods, deviations, dishes, and medicine of different Lunar Oracle genres to counter the new challenges. Experiment with combinations to gain buffs tailored to specific threats posed by Deviants and Elite enemies.
The Lord of the Moonlight is an Avatar of the Crimson Moon. It is more powerful than the usual Lunarspawn and will take on the player's appearance once Lunacy reaches a ceratin level. The Lord of moonlight can use Adrenaline Shots to revive and summon clones in battle.

Spend Starchrom at the Wish Machine or focus on looting Oracle Crates to obtain the new Treacherous Tides set. The 3rd and 4th set effects are especially valuable during a Lunar Oracle.
The 3rd set effect reduces HP loss from low Sanity by 40%, letting you safely take advantage of Lunacy’s buffs without the usual drawbacks, while the 4th set effect provides a lifesaving shield equal to 20% of your Max HP when your HP drops below 40%.
Take down enemies swiftly in quick succession during Lunar Revelry to regain Sanity with each kill, especially before facing Elite enemies. Focus on boosting your Sanity through kills to give yourself an edge in tougher battles.

As you will be low on health, be extra cautious—enemies can sneak up on you and take you down in just a few shots. Additionally, some ranged enemies are capable of eliminating you from a distance with a single hit, so always stay alert and keep an eye on your surroundings.

Bring plenty of Adrenaline Shots, Sanity Gummies, and other foods that help restore your Sanity. Since you'll be dealing with low Sanity for most of the event, having these items on hand is crucial to keeping yourself in the fight. Expect to die more often than usual, so having these recovery items ready will give you a better chance of bouncing back quickly.

Mods with the Lunar suffix found in Oracle Crates can provide significant buffs tailored to the Lunar Oracle's mechanics, such as increased damage at lower HP and other useful bonuses. A top choice for enhancing your survivability and strength during the event is the Enduring Shield with the Lunar suffix, which provides extra protection when you need it most.

Equip mods and weapons that help you recover health during the event to counteract the damage you’ll take while dealing with Lunacy. Examples include the Blaze Blessing and Frost Blessing mod, which offer health recovery, or the Recover Mark mods, which can help you regain health with each kill. Additionally, the new MPS5 - Primal Rage weapon is a great choice for its ability to heal you as you fight, ensuring you stay in the fight longer even when your health is low.

Make sure to stock up on the new food items introduced in Version 1.4, as many offer valuable bonuses to help you survive the chaos of the Lunar Oracle. Food items like Roulette Dumplings, Surprise Spring Rolls, and Unusual Braised Meat provide various buffs that help during the Lunar Oracle.

Defeating enemies during the Lunar Oracle grants you Lunar Whispers, with Elite enemies providing more. Use them to unlock greater rewards from Oracle Crates or to purchase items from the shop. Do note that Lunar Whispers expire after two hours.
