Activate Rift Anchors in Red Sands Region

Once Human - Red Sands Rift Anchor

Activating Rift Anchors in the Red Sands region of the map is the easiest way to get Platinum Crystals.

There are several Rift Anchors that can be activated in this region, so try to explore the area once you can to get ahold of some crystals.

Red Sands Region Guide

Must Progress Story to Unlock Rift Anchors

Once Human - Locked Rift Anchor

Do note that Rift Anchors in regions outside of your current story progression cannot be activated unless you clear the region's Monolith boss.

This means that you won't be able to activate any Rift Anchors in Red Sands if you haven't progressed far enough in the story.

Open Crates in Red Sands Region

Once Human Red Sands Blackfell Fallen Zone

It is also possible to get Platinum Crystals simply by opening Weapon and Gear Crates found within areas in Red Sands. Areas like Blackfell Oil Fields and Blackfell Fallen Zone are the best places to check as they hold multiple Weapon and Gear Crates.

This is a useful alternative to getting this item if you run out of Rift Anchors to activate in Red Sands or you are still at the point where they are still locked.

Red Sands is a Late Game Area

Do note that this region is meant to be explored at the later stages of the game, so make sure to bring better weapons and armor or try asking for help from another player who is at a higher level.
