Treant Information | ||
---|---|---|
Treant has intertwined roots connecting itself to the ground, which restrained its moving speed. Its whole body, though resembling human, is made out of treetrunks and twigs. Before the Starfall, people may mistake it for a weirdlooking tree with crimson-colored leaves. But listen, the rustling sounds among the leaves echo like a baby's cry.

You can find Treant's domain in Gaia Cliff Monolith, more specifically in the location indicated on the map above!
Prior to taking on Treant, you will fight its doppleganger version in a preceding quest. Do note that these are different boss fights where the doppleganger version serves as an introduction to the actual boss.
The fight with the doppleganger lets you preview its attacks and plan how to take on the actual boss in the Monolith.
You can fight Treant by heading to the Gaia Cliff Monolith in the Broken Delta during the Murmurs In The Forest quest. Enter the building and interact with the Rift Beacon to select which difficulty you wish to play on.
After defeating Treant, you may return to its location and fight it once again either at the same difficulty or at higher ones. Do note that you will need to meet the required levels in order to fight it at higher difficulties.

How to Beat Treant |

Upon entering the area where Treant is, you will find that it will be immune to any attacks. To remove its immunity, you will need to clear three tangled vines in the area.
Additionally, there will be other enemies that spawn in the area so deal with them as well before fighting Treant as they will just keep attacking you.
In order to get to the vines, there will be vents you can jump on to help you reach them. We recommend staying on the top of the bridge as this gives you a good angle on the weakspot of the Treant.
Do note that clearing all the vines will close the vents so be sure to stay on the bridge after clearing the vine to keep your vantage point.
While Treant's attacks can reach you even at long ranges, you can easily dodge them by hiding behind the terrain or structures. As mentioned above, the bridge is a highly recommended area as the bus provides ample cover against Treant's attacks.
When fighting from a distance against Treant, its main attack will be a laser projectile that can quickly drain your health if you don't hide from it. This can easily be avoided by hiding behind the structures or terrain in the area as the laser cannot penetrate through them.
Treant will also be releasing white orbs that slowly travel towards your location. Upon reaching you, each orb deals a burst of damage that can stack up and remove sizable portions of your health bar.
Since the orbs travels quite slowly, you can destroy each orb by shooting them with any of your guns or crossbows. If you are low on ammo, you can also just run in circles as it approaches you and it should just fall to the ground and disappear.
When playing up close to Treant, it will pound the ground to launch an attack that spreads in a circle. While it seems that you can dodge it by jumping over it, it still damages you even if you time the jump perfectly.
To dodge this, you will need to destroy any of the Cyst Seeds in the area and stay inside the shield it generates.
