One of the best base locations in the early game would be near the shorelines in the Dayton Wetlands area, around the 6756, -5928 coordinates.

The shores are lined with early-game resources like Copper and trees for Wood, and the nearby sea means that players can harvest salt water to start up a Salt EXP Farm.
