Talk to Lowe in Whalebone

Talk to Lowe in Whalebone in Vena Fjord. He will tell you that there is a Deviant in a nearby harbor that you need to secure, a sea creature named Hydronaut Fish.

How to Get Hydronaut Fish

Head to Petit Harbor and Talk to Hydronaut Fish

Follow the objective marker and you will see the the Hydronaut Fish standing near the dock. Talk to them and you will try to convince them to come with you.

Catch a Fish

At this point, your goal is simple: catch any fish in the harbor to proceed to your next objective. You need to have a Fishing Rod and a bait with you which you can craft in your territory.

Craft a Fishing Rod

To start fishing, you must first craft a Fishing Rod at a Supplies Workbench in your territory. This will cost 20 Logs and 10 Copper Bars to craft.

Grow Corn in Your Territory

Make a simple bait by using a corn to make a Dough Bait in the Supplies Workbench.

Unfortunately, in Way of Winter, you may have a difficulty finding a corn. To solve this issue, you will need to buy Corn Seeds from Silla and then plant them in Planter Boxes.

Note that this will take a lot of time to grow before you can harvest the corn.

Craft a Fish Tank

Once you have the fish, you'll unlock the option to craft a Fish Tank. Return to your territory and build a fish tank and then place the fish that you caught within it.

Secure Hydronaut Fish

Return back to the harbor and talk to Hydronaut Fish. Your efforts of catching a fish so that they could have a companion will convince them of coming with you.

Return back to Lowe in Whalebone and talk to him to complete the quest.
