Sign Up During the Final Phase of Your Current Server

#	A Step-by-Step Guide
1	Sign Up at The End of the Season Note that this is intended for players who are in the final phase of their scenario, rather than newcomers. To sign up for Way of Winter, players must reach the final phase (Settlement Phase) of the scenario in their current server. They will then be able to sign up for a new scenario, or choose to remain on the current server.
2	Click Sign Up on Main Menu Once you hit the Settlement Phase, head to the Main Menu and click Sign Up to choose your next adventure.
3	Choose Way of Winter and Sign Up for a Server Choose Way of Winter from the selection of Scenarios. Then, review the list of available servers to see which ones are open or full. Once you have chosen your server, click Sign Up. After viewing the server details, press F or click Register to reserve and secure your spot. You are now registered for the Way of Winter! Once your server becomes available, simply click Start New Season to begin your new adventure. Sign-up and character creation are available up to 14 days. If you haven't entered the season within this time frame, your sign-up information will expire, and you may have to sign up for another server. This option is perfect for players eager to transition smoothly from their current scenario! By signing up during the final phase, you can carry over valuable resources like Starchrom, blueprints, deviations, weapons, armor, and more to the new server using your Spacetime Backpack.

Join a New Server With a New Character

To join Way of Winter with a fresh character, head to the Server List and pick a server under The Way of Winter. Be sure to double-check the Season Tags, Difficulty, and Capacity to find a server that suits your preferences. Once you're happy with your choice, press F to confirm and create your new character!

Starting with a new character means you'll need to complete the tutorial — ideal if you're new to Once Human or just want a fresh start in this chilling adventure.

A New PvE Scenario in Northern Nalcott

Way of Winter is a new PvE scenario set in the frozen wilderness of Northern Nalcott in Once Human. It introduces players to the Snowy Realm, a harsh, icy landscape filled with extreme environmental challenges, powerful enemies, and new areas to explore. Players must navigate freezing temperatures, battle new types of Deviants and Vultures, and unlock resources to survive.

In Way of Winter, the environment itself becomes a constant threat, with fluctuating temperatures that range from Frosty to Burning. Players will need to craft special armor, gather rare plants, and manage new systems like the Thermal Towers to control the climate and protect their territories. New dungeons, strongholds, and epic boss fights add to the mix, while the looming threat of Igna, leader of the Vultures, drives the story forward. The challenge is to survive both the deadly weather and the powerful enemies, ensuring that winter doesn't claim you.

Welcome to Arkam, the Snowy Realm, a frozen wasteland where survival is a brutal test of endurance. Here, the cold is more than just a backdrop; it's a relentless threat that saps your strength at every turn. Beware—the landscape is a paradox of icy beauty and fiery peril, with treacherous volcanoes ready to unleash their wrath.

The Way of Winter introduces this expansive new map for players to explore, allowing you to select from various starting points in Vena Fjord and Onyx Tundra. Journey through the snow-covered terrain to Ember Strand and discover new strongholds like Frost Forge, Fire Throat Sanctum, and Fort Obsidian—each filled with mysteries, powerful enemies, and treasures just waiting to be unearthed!

New Temperature and Weather System

The Snowy Realm brings a chilling new temperature and weather system that reshapes your survival experience! Stay vigilant as the environmental temperature fluctuates across different areas, shifting between Frosty, Cold, Comfortable, Hot, and Burning. Each zone's weather conditions can drastically affect these temperatures, so be prepared for surprises that might leave you shivering—or sweating!

To survive, you’ll need to craft armor using special furs and wool, and fuel up with rare plants like Spikematoes, Polar Peppers, and Sunny Gingers—your key to enduring the extremes on this perilous journey!

New Deviants (or Deviations)

In these forsaken lands, new allies await! The Way of Winter introduces exciting new Deviations that embody the elements of their frigid environment. Snowsprites summon razor-sharp ice crystals in battle, while Ice Pots churn out ice cubes for your tactical needs. Keep an eye out for the Invincible Sun, who unleashes scorching Blaze damage on their foes with fierce flames.

New Enemies and Bosses

In The Way of Winter, it’s not just the biting chill and searing heat you have to watch out for. The extreme temperatures have twisted the very fabric of reality, transforming Deviants and living machines that lurk in the northern wilderness.

But that’s not all—prepare to face off against the terrifying Secret Servitor, a brand-new boss monster. As if that weren’t enough, you’ll also have to contend with the Vultures, a vile, power-hungry faction led by the mysterious Igna, who are hell-bent on seizing control of the living machines.

New Dungeons

Securement Silo - Delta is a fiery, grungy underground den, once a secret base, now overrun by Chaosium-crazed Vultures. It's more than just a hideout—deep within, the Vultures have transformed it into a chaotic underground club and a disco of destruction!

Meanwhile, Securement - Silo Taurus is no less bizarre. Once an art gallery, it’s now a Vulture stronghold where they care nothing for the art, instead focusing on the mysterious worlds that lie hidden within the paintings, offering an entirely new kind of danger.

New Story and Tasks

The Way of Winter introduces a new storyline centered on Igna, the cunning and power-hungry leader of the Vultures. As a Meta-Human with world-conquering aspirations, Igna seeks to enforce his New Way—and those who refuse will be consumed. His goal? Total domination, using living machines to crush any resistance. If he’s not stopped, he’s more than capable of pulling it off, leaving devastation in his wake.

Mitsuko and V call upon you to help stop Igna before the worlds fall under his iron grip. Will you rise to the challenge and defeat him and his Vultures before it’s too late?

New Wonder - Thermal Tower

The Thermal Tower is an imposing Wonder capable of dramatically altering the temperature and environment across vast areas, making it a game-changer in survival and strategy. Once placed, you can upgrade its four critical modules—Reactor, Thermostatic Cover, Defense Structures, and Radiator—each with eight tech upgrades to enhance its capabilities.

Powered by Chaosium, the tower's ability to control temperatures and provide bonuses depends on a steady supply. The more powerful its effects, the faster it consumes Chaosium. Should the supply run dry, the Thermal Tower will shut down, leaving you at the mercy of the harsh elements. You'll need to defend your Thermal Tower from Colossal Chaosweavers, massive enemies drawn to its power!

Phase 1: Arctic Domain

The raging winds and relentless snow sweep through, laying waste to everything in their path. Prepare to navigate the brutal challenges of the Snowy Realm, where survival is your only goal.

Phase 2: Scattered Ash

Lava flows and surges, and the scorching air carries away all hope. The extreme climate brings only arduous challenges.

Phase 3: A Glimmer of Hope

Humanity's strength shows itself during great crises like a spark that lights up the north. You must work with other Metas to build a home.

Phase 4: The End of Ice and Fire

Deep in the snowy mists, giants of ice and fire begin to rise, shaking the earth. The north shall soon be enveloped in the shadow of annihilation.

Phase 5: Break of Dawn

The dark days will eventually pass, but the Snowy Realm is forged in hope and courage which shall never fade.
