Tar Pudding is a new territory deviation introduced in Once Human's Way of Winter Scenario who gathers fuel and accelerates fuel conversion efficiency. Spawns as a Reward for Clearing the Avalanche Monolith

Tar Pudding Overworld

Tar Pudding can be obtained before reaching Ember Strands as a reward when you complete the Avalanche Monolith in Vena Fjord.

Recommended for players Lv. 25 and higher, you'll have to defeat an icy version of Treant as part of this challenge.

Part of the Deviation: Tar Pudding Quest

Among the missions from Lowe in the Way of Winter Scenario, Deviation: Tar Pudding is one that can only be completed from Phase 2 onwards. This is because the quest involves venturing into Ember Strands which is locked during the scenario's first phase.

To boost Tar Pudding's Deviant Power and Mood Regeneration, place its Securement Unit in a location where it is in a cold environment exposed to Blue Light.

An environment that is between -30°C to - 5°C is considered cold, and Blue Lights can be built from the Furniture Menu. The Blue Light can be unlocked from the Basic Furniture II Node in the Building Memetics Skill Tree.

How to Use Tar Pudding

Produces Fuel

Tar Pudding collects fuel passively which you can collect by interacting with its Securement Unit. This is a reliable way to get fuel like Portable Mixed Fuel.

Improves Efficiency of Fuel Refineries

Having a Tar Pudding around is also beneficial if you have a fuel refinery as its presence speeds up the conversion of fuel!

Oil Gathering Gathers fuel around the territory. While working at the fuel refining facility, accelerates fuel conversion efficiency.

Giant Molotov Cocktail
Tar Pudding becomes frenzied, creating an 8m-radius burning aura around itself for 10 seconds. Enemies within range take 55.17% SP.ATK DMG per second, and those with Flammable status are detonated, dealing 356.4% AoE SP.ATK DMG in a 3m radius. After entering battle, each use of Crude Oil Digging or Crude Oil Spill increases Molotov Cocktail DMG by 25% (max 100%). Consumes 450 Psi Energy.

Psi-Skills are your deviation’s ultimate abilities. They have long cooldowns and can only be used after a short delay. Used right, they can turn the tide of battle!

Techniques

Technique Description
Flame Bullet Launches a fireball dealing SP. ATK DMG.
Meteor Summons a meteor at the target location, dealing SP. ATK DMG Creates a burning zone that deals SP. ATK DMG every 0.5s.
Elemental Overload Increases SP. ATK by for 8s.
Incendiary Bullet Fires a large fireball that explodes on impact, dealing SP. ATK DMG in an area.
Burn Aura Activates a Burn Aura with a 6m, dealing SP. ATK DMG per second to enemies for 5s.
Crude Oil Spill Tar Pudding enters an Oil Leak state for 15s, increasing SP.ATK and leaving 2m- radius oil puddles every 3s that last 20s.

These are techniques that you can learn through deviation fusions. Some deviations you capture may have these as starting techniques.

Passive

Crude Oil Dig
Every 40s, digs up oil beneath itself, increasing its own SP.ATK by 20% for 10s and leaving a 2m-radius oil pool lasting 20s. Enemies passing through the oil pool become Flammable. Flammable enemies ignited by fire -based skills take 17.49% SP.ATK DMG per second with Burn effect for 8s.

A passive is a constant effect that automatically benefits your Deviation without needing to be activated.
