Unlike in previous seasons, getting Rawhide now requires an extra step—you don’t automatically receive it just by hunting and skinning animals. Follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to get Rawhide.

Unlock Leatherworking Memetic
To start crafting Rawhide, you'll need to unlock the Leatherworking memetic. Head over to the Crafting Tab in your Memetics and unlock Leatherworking. It’s an easy step, costing only 1 meme point.

Once Human - Deer Food
Get Animal Hides, Skin, or Fur
To collect Rawhide, you'll need to hunt animals and skin them. After taking down your prey, make sure to harvest the animal's hides, fur, or skin—these are needed for crafting Rawhide.

Alternatively, if you have the Lethal Rabbit deviation, you can let it handle both the hunting and skinning for you!

Once you’ve gathered the materials, head over to the Supplies Workbench. You only need 1 hide, fur, or skin to craft a piece of Rawhide.

When used to craft Tops and Pants, Rawhide provides 5 resistance to Heat and Burn. This makes it an excellent material for gearing up before heading into the hotter areas of the Snowy Realms, where extra heat and burn protection is essential.
