Nightmare State Explained
Dream Zone's Environmental Trait
Nightmare State is the Dream Zone's environmental trait that will decide which Nightmare Spec and State you will deal with in a Dream Zone. Having tons of healing items and Adrenaline Shots may save your life and allow you to stay longer in the zone.
All Nightmare Specs
| Type | Effects |
|---|---|
| Lightning Strike | Continuous Lightning Strike on the field. It can damage players but it can also destroy trees and ores if they get hit by the lightning. |
| Explode | Enemies and Deviations explode, dealing damage to the surrounding area. You will also get targeted by explosions from time to time, even if you're a few meters out of the Dream Zone. |
| Evernight | You can see less and continuously lose HP inside the Zone. You can craft a Nightmare Lantern to counter the damage effect. |
Lightning Strike
Lightning Strike is a nightmare spec that summons lightning near players. It can damage players and structures and also destroy trees and ores hit. You can pick up the Shock Orbs it leaves on the ground and use it against enemies.
Explode
The Explode nightmare spec makes enemies explode when you kill them. The same effect is also applied on your Deviant if you call them back or their time is up. Aside from that, players will also need to avoid the targeted explosions from time to time. You can evade them if you dodge once away from the center.
Evernight
The Evernight nightmare spec makes the visibility of the entire zone low and constantly damages players who linger inside. The damaging effect can be nullified by a Nightmare Lantern and it will consume Nightmare Light Sources every minute as a fuel.
Other Nightmare Modifiers
Defense Modifiers (Green Mods)
| Modifier | Effects |
|---|---|
| Symbiosis | Light Dreamers empower Deep Dreamers, with each stack increasing the latter's damage by 20%. |
| Bubbly Constitution | Light Dreamers grant Deep Dreamers the ability to generate bubble shields for protection. |
The defense modifiers (green icons) give the Dreamers a little bit more defense by providing shield and damage reduction.
Attack Modifiers (Yellow Mods)
| Modifier | Effects |
|---|---|
| Strength Parasite | Light Dreamers empower Deep Dreamers, with each stack increasing the latter's damage by 20%. |
| Bubbly Energy | Light Dreamers grant Deep Dreamers the ability to generate bubbles for attacks. |
The attack modifiers (yellow icons) give bonus damage and ability to create bubbles to attack players.
