Sanity is lost when in areas that are corrupted or polluted, or when the player takes damage from Deviants. Below are some methods for restoring lost Sanity.

Sleep in a Bed

Once Human - Bed

The simplest way to restore Sanity is to sleep in a Bed. Interacting with any Bed furniture will put the player's character to sleep, restoring Health and Sanity over time. To get up from sleep, simply use the movement keys (WASD).
