The Highlands settlement is a great starting place to farm Fireproof Plastic because of its low recommended level. It can be found in the Iron River region, close to the Dayton Hospital in the Dayton Wetlands.
This location is crawling with enemies that can shoot you with their own guns, so make sure to bring lots of ammunition and healing items in case things go south.
Highland Weapon, Armor, and Mystic Crate Locations
Items like Power Cables, Note Boards, and Animal Statues all provide Fireproof Plastic when scrapped, so keep an eye out for these while exploring.
Do not miss out on other loot though, as items found in the same area as the ones mentioned above may also provide Fireproof Plastic when scrapped.
Once you've gathered enough items to scrap, interact with a Disassembly Bench and select these items to scrap them for Fireproof Plastic.
Advanced facilities unlocked further into the game, such as the Intermediate Gear Workbench, and similarly advanced items and gear require Fireproof Plastic as a component in construction and crafting.
