The Power Surge build is all about shocking your enemies into submission. Power Surge deals status damage based on 50% of your Psi Intensity and applies a nasty accuracy debuff (-40%) for 6 seconds. Sure, it can’t crit or hit weak spots, but the beauty is, this damage doesn’t fade with distance.

This build focuses on boosting your Power Surge Damage Factor and Final Damage Bonus to supercharge that 50% multiplier. So, get ready to zap your enemies and watch them scramble as their aim falls apart!

Primary Weapon: MPS7 - Outer Space

Once Human - MPS7 Outer Space Power Surge Build
The MPS7 - Outer Space is the beating heart of the Power Surge build, offering a 25% chance to zap enemies with a Power Surge every time you land a hit. And it only gets better: Defeat an enemy, and the Power Surge trigger factor jumps by 30% for 12 seconds. Reload? Another 40% boost, though only for 3 seconds. The weapon itself comes with a permanent +40% Power Surge trigger factor, making it the ultimate tool for dishing out steady Shock status damage.

Being an SMG, the MPS7 lets you rapidly rack up those triggers and keep your enemies in a constant state of frazzled inaccuracy!

Secondary Weapon: AWS.338 - Bullseye

Once Human - AWS.338 - Bullseye
The AWS.338 - Bullseye or Bingo is the ultimate wingman for your Power Surge build. With a 70% chance to pop The Bull’s Eye on a weakspot hit, it outlines your target, making them more vulnerable (+8% for 12 seconds). That’s your cue to switch back to the MPS7 - Outer Space and pile on the damage while they're highlighted like a neon sign.

Start with a sharp weakspot hit to trigger Bull’s Eye, and with the Vulnerability mod, watch your damage soar. Knock out a target, and you’ll snag a sweet 15% attack boost for 20 seconds—just in time to surge through the next fight!

Melee: Stun Baton

Once Human - Stun Baton
The Stun Baton is a shockingly good fit for the Power Surge build as a melee weapon! With an 80% chance to trigger Power Surge on light strikes, you'll be zapping enemies left and right. And when you land a heavy strike on a Power Surged enemy, it dishes out an extra jolt of Shock Status DMG to nearby foes, turning your hits into a chain reaction of electricity like it's a lightning rod!

Shelterer Set for Face, Gloves, Shoes, and Top

Once Human - Shelterer Set
The Shelterer Set (with Shelterer Mask, Shelterer Gloves, and Shelterer Shoes and Shelterer Jacket ) turns your Power Surge build into a high-voltage juggernaut! With a +8% Elemental DMG boost, your Shock attacks will have enemies zapped and reeling. Plus, the +15% Status DMG Reduction ensures you're not overwhelmed by nasty status effects, letting you focus on dishing out the pain.

But here’s where it gets really electrifying: Deviant Energy stacking! Each hit charges up your Shock damage by up to +20%. With extra stacks from hitting weakspots and an increased cap, your Power Surge becomes even more lethal. And since reloading only halves your stacks, you’ll keep a powerful jolt of damage throughout the fight.

Mayfly Goggles for Helmet

Once Human - Mayfly Goggles
The Mayfly Goggles are a must-have for the Power Surge build, boosting up your Shock game by letting you trigger Power Surge one extra time! While they dial down the Power Surge damage by 30%, the bonus frequency ensures your enemies get zapped more often, keeping that Shock status sizzling and your build buzzing with electrifying efficiency.

Bastille Pants for Bottoms

The Bastille Pants are a solid choice for the build because they give you a tasty 10% boost to Weapon DMG when your HP is above 70%. This means as long as you're staying healthy, you’re delivering more powerful hits.

Weapon Mods for Power Surge Build
Primary Secondary Melee

Shock Rampage or Surge Amplifier for Primary Weapon

Mod Effect Description
Static Shock - Power Surge Power Surge duration -50.0%, and Power Surge DMG +20.0%

Static Shock is a stellar pick for MPS7 - Outer Space because it boosts Power Surge DMG by 20%, making each shockwave hit even harder. The trade-off? It cuts the duration of Power Surge by 50%, but with the increased damage, you’ll make up for it in sheer impact.

Vulnerability Amplifier for Secondary Weapon

Mod Effect Description
Vulnerability Amplifier - The Bull's Eye Enhances the vulnerability effect of Bull's Eye by 8% on marked targets.

Vulnerability Amplifier pairs perfectly with AWS.338 - Bullseye or Bingo in the Power Surge build! It cranks up the vulnerability of marked targets by +8%, making your shock damage hit harder and faster when you switch back to your Outer Space SMG.

Shock Diffusion for Melee

Mod Effect Description
Shock Diffusion - Talents When triggering Power Surge, apply the Power Surge status to 1 enemy(s) within 5m of the target (prioritizes enemies that are not affected by Power Surge Status)

Shock Diffusion is fantastic for the Stun Baton because it spreads the Power Surge status to nearby enemies within 5 meters. When you hit an enemy with Power Surge, it doesn’t stop there—another unlucky foe gets zapped too! This lets your Stun Baton chain the shock effect, making it even deadlier in crowd-control situations, and turning your melee strikes into a surge of chaos.

Best Armor Mods

Deviation Expert for Helmet

Mod Effect Description
Deviation Expert - Talents Reduces range by 25%, increases fire rate by 10%, and boosts status damage by 20%.

Deviation Expert is great for the build, despite the range drop. The boosted fire rate (+10%) means more Power Surge triggers, and the +20% status damage makes each hit stronger. The range loss is a small price for extra up-close power!

Thunderclap for Face

Mod Effect Description
Thunderclap After triggering Power Surge 20 times, the next hit summons Celestial Thunder, dealing 200% PSI Intensity Shock DMG.

Thunderclap is a key mod for the Power Surge build because it rewards your rapid Power Surge triggers with a massive burst of damage. After 20 triggers, it summons Celestial Thunder, dealing a whopping 200% PSI Intensity Shock DMG. This mod gives you an explosive payoff, turning your build into a powerhouse of shock damage, especially in longer fights where you’ll easily hit that 20-trigger mark.

Elemental Overload or Crit Boost for Gloves

Mod Effect Description
Status Enhancement - Talents Status DMG +20.0%
Elemental Overload - Talents Boosts Elemental DMG (Blaze, Frost, Shock, Blast) by +18%

Status Enhancement cranks up your status damage by a cool 20%, making every Power Surge hit pack a punch and spread chaos more effectively.

On the other hand, Elemental Overload electrifies your Shock attacks with an 18% boost. Players can choose based on their style—whether you want to dish out widespread status damage or focus on electrifying Shock power.

Covered Advance for Shoes

Mod Effect Description
Covered Advance - Talents Taking no damage for 4 seconds grants +20% Melee, Weapon, and Status DMG for 30 seconds; effect resets after duration ends.

Covered Advance shines when paired with a Bastille piece. By avoiding damage for just 4 seconds, you trigger a 20% boost to your Melee, Weapon, and Status DMG for 30 seconds. With the Bastille Pants increasing your Weapon DMG by 10% while your HP is high, you’ll capitalize on Covered Advance’s damage boost, making your hits even more devastating.

Flame Resonance or Rejuvenating for Top

Mod Effect Description
Flame Resonance III - Talents Status DMG +12.0%
Rejuvenating - Talents When HP is above 60%, a kill recovers 15% lost HP.

Flame Resonance gives you a sweet DPS boost with an extra 12% Status DMG, making your Power Surge hits even more electrifying. On the other hand, Rejuvenating keeps you in the fight longer by restoring 15% of your lost HP with each kill when you're above 60% health, which pairs nicely with Bastille's and Covered Advance's health-related perks.

Choose whichever mod fits with your playstyle!

Status Amplification for Bottoms

Mod Effect Description
Precision Charge For every 10% Weakspot hit rate of the previous magazine, Elemental DMG +4%, up to 24%, lasting for 10s. Reloading resets the calculation.
Status Amplification When the magazine is empty, Status DMG +10% for 12s, stacking up to 3 times.

Precision Charge amps up your shock damage with a sweet bonus for hitting weakspots, making it ideal for a focused Elemental boost. Status Amplification, meanwhile, gives you a juicy 30% Status DMG boost when your magazine’s empty, ensuring your status effects stay potent. Choose Precision Charge for shock-focused power or Status Amplification for consistent damage thrills!

Hello, fellow Metas! Thanks for the awesome suggestion! The Power Surge build has been refreshed and is ready to roll for the new season!

Try Mayfly Goggles with the rifle Outsider, They're same rarity and seem to go well together. If getting the SMG Outer Space, try it with the Gas Mask Hood. Same rarity and may cover for what it's lacking.
