Once Human Where to Start Way of Winter

Vena Fjord and Onyx Tundra are the two starting regions of the Way of Winter Scenario in Once Human. Learn which area is best to start Way of Winter on, the best Way of Winter starting point, and what to expect in each area with this guide!

Vena Fjord or Onyx Tundra?

Start on Vena Fjord if You're an Experienced Player

Way of Winter Birth Points
Vena Fjord Area Levels: 10 - 25

・Wish Land - West

The recommended starting point, or "Birth Point" for experienced players in the Way of Winter is Vena Fjord as most of the enemies and strongholds here are at least Lv. 10.

Even traversing the region itself is more difficult than Onyx Tundra as cliffs make it hard to move from one place to another. You are also more likely to die of hypothermia in the tundra especially if you don't have cold resistances prepared.

There are also Vultures lurking in the overworld that can catch you off guard with their ranged attacks while exploring.

However, to match the overall difficulty, Vena Fjord provides better loot and drops. This region also gives you easier access to the Onyx Tundra and the more dangerous Ember Strand once it's available.

Choose Onyx Tundra If You're a Beginner

Onyx Tundra, on the other hand, is for players who only just started as they can take the time to learn the basics of the game in this safer zone.

Getting around Onyx Tundra is much easier as it mostly contains small hills and clearings. You also don't have to worry much when gathering your starting materials as the enemies here mostly consist of the undead who cannot hurt you with weapons unlike the Vultures.
