You can use the trailer car by the tree to pin it between so you have free shots on its head. You can also easily climb the trailer car as he can use a shockwave attack.

Eliminating the surrounding enemies is key as the Mother of Life is very tanky. You can use your melee to stagger it and a Searchlight that can be dropped by nearby enemies.
