Leveling up is the easiest way to get more Meme Points in the game.

Early on, you won't be able to get as many memetic talents as you can, but as you progress the game and raise your level, you'll be able to get enough Meme Points to unlock memetic nodes and get the item or facility blueprint that you want.

Talents That Unlocks Items and Facilities

Once Human - Memetics Tree

Memetics are talents that are structured similar to skill trees, which, after unlocking, let you craft various items or facilities that are useful for your survival in the game.

Each memetic is found under specific trees related to the skill you want to improve. Some are classified under Infrastracture, which are talents related to gathering raw materials. Those under Crafting are mostly tied to weapons and armor, while those under Logistics are skills linked to vital tasks in your base like food production, cooking, and generating power. Lastly, those under Building are tied to setting up structures in your base.

You can unlock these memetics in any order you want, provided that you have already unlocked the previous memetic requirement, if there are any.

Unlocked With Meme Points and Energy Links

Once Human - Meme Points and Energy Links

Memetic talents are unlocked with Meme Points (also called Ciphers) and Energy Links. Early on, memetics are cheap to get but can get more expensive as you dive deep into the skill tree.

You Can Reset Your Memetics

Once Human - Resetting Memetics

You can easily reset a memetic node or an entire skill tree if you want to change things up in the Memetics menu.

Do note that while you will get all the Meme Points you spent back, you will only receive 30% of the Energy Links you've spent.

Upgrade with Memetic Specializations

Once Human - Memetic Specializations

Most memetic talents can be further improved if you get a corresponding Memetic Specialization. These specializations sometimes boost existing items or facilities with a memetic talent or even give you new blueprints to make an even better item or facility!
