Chaos State Determines PvP Status

Once Human - Chaos State Determines PvP Status

Toggle the Chaos State with the P key to turn on PvP mode from anywhere on the map. Note that players in the Chaos State can only harm others who are also in the Chaos State.

Players in different parties who have their Chaos State turned on can then immediately attack each other.

Echo Stones Activate Chaos State

Once Human - Echo Stones Activate Chaos State

Alternatively, the Chaos State is automatically turned on when picking up Echo Stones. Survey the area for hostiles first before picking these up!

Echo Stones can be purified in your territory to convert them into the valuable resource Starchrom.

Defending and Raiding Bases

When you purify Echo Stones, your base is marked on the map, allowing other players to raid and steal your items. Players who enter your territory will have their Chaos State automatically turned on.

Conversely, if you spot other players purifying their own Echo Stones, you can raid their base instead!

Join a Hive or Warband

It's recommended to defend your territory or raid a base together with a Hive or Warband to maximize your chances of success. Use the message boards below to recruit or join other players.

Gear Is Dropped Upon Dying

If you die while in Chaos State, you will drop some of your equipment and loot. If you're using your best gear, make sure to stick with your allies so they can revive you and prevent the loss of valuable gear!

Ways to Start PvP

Toggle Chaos State

The Chaos State can be toggled on at any time and anywhere on the map by hitting the P key. This enables PvP against other players who are also in Chaos State.

Contest Echo Stones

Purifying Echo Stones opens up your base for raids where you'll need to defend your territory. The opposite also holds true where you can instead raid the territory of other players who are purifying their own Echo Stones.

Declare War For Territory

An alternate PvP mode is available where Warbands compete for territory called Frontiers and Engagement Zones. These are indicated by pumpjack icons on the map and give Warbands various rewards.

Warbands who wish to conquer a Frontier will need to outbid other Warbands to earn the privilege of raiding a controlled Frontier.

General Tips on PvP

Play With Friends

One way to enjoy playing PvP is with friends. You can all choose to be in the same server and team up to defeat other players or have a battle royale.

You can also form a Hive with your friends, or if you are more than three, you can form a Warband.

Run Away If Necessary

Once Human - Switch Worlds

There is no shame in running away from enemies, especially higher-level enemy players who are out there for blood.

One way to run away is to change Worlds. You can do this by accessing a nearby Teleportation Tower.

How to Change Worlds

Gear Up!

If you are hellbent on attacking enemy players or believe you can fight back, then the most important thing to remember is to be well-equipped.

Have your best equipment and weapons at the ready and always have healing items in your inventory.

Build Base Protection

Once Human - Turrets

In case a random player in Chaos State attempts to raid and destroy your base, building base protection is a must.

You can build turrets to protect your base as these artilleries will be your first line of defense.
