This Legendary Beasts research event gives players another chance to encounter and befriend the Legendary Pokemon Raikou, Entei, and Suicune.

The event will only be available in research areas that have at least one of either Raikou, Entei, or Suicune.

Both Greengrass Isles have all three Legendary Pokemon available, while Cyan Beach only has Suicune, Taupe Hollow only has Entei, and Old Gold Power Plant only has Raikou.

All event islands will have Grepa Berries, Leppa Berries, and Oran Berries as Snorlax's favorite Berries for the duration of the event.

Collect Pokemon Material for Incense and Biscuits

Pokemon Material Pokemon Material Collection Methods
  • Researching Pokemon after sleep sessions
  • Completing event missions
  • Receiving research from friends
  • Purchasing event bundles

Collecting Pokemon material is possible through sleep research, event missions, Research Community reports, and event bundles during the Raikou, Entei, and Suicune Research event. Pokemon material can then be used at the Event Exchange to get items such as Incense for each of the Legendary Beasts and Premier Biscuits.

Younger Pokemon Sleep players that do not have access to a Research Community will receive a special gift of 70 Pokemon material at the start of each event week to make up for having one less source of this event item.

How to Get Pokemon Material

Increased Dish Strength From Cooking

Event Date Strength Bonus Extra Tasty Bonus
September 8 - 13 x1.1 x2.2
September 15 - 20 x1.1 x2.2
September 14 & 21
(Sundays)
x1.1 x3.3

All dishes made during this event week have a 1.1x Strength boost. Extra Tasty dishes, which are normally around double (2x) the expected dish Strength, instead have a 2.2x multiplier to the original dish Strength during this event.

On Sundays, September 14 and 21, this Extra Tasty bonus goes up to 3.3x. Combined with the doubled pot capacity and increased Extra Tasty chance on Sundays, you can make an exceptionally strong dish that may allow you to jump through multiple Snorlax Ratings all at once.

It may be worth adding Dedenne to your team to make the most of this boosted Extra Tasty bonus with its Tasty Chance S main skill.

Main Skill Level +3 +5

During the Raikou, Entei, and Suicune Research event, Pokemon matching their types will be more helpful. Fire-, Water-, and Electric-type Pokemon will have an increased main skill chance at 1.5x the normal rate.

The Main Skill level for Water-type Pokemon will also be increased during the event. For the first week, Main Skill levels will be increased by 1. During the second week, skills will be increased by 3 levels, which will make Suicune an especially excellent helper to add to your team.

Drowsy Power is 1.5x on Second Sunday

Pokemon Sleep - Drowsy Power

Drowsy Power is expected to be multiplied by 1.5x on September 21, the second Sunday, which is also the last full day, of the event. This is the best time to find the rare Sleep Styles of the Legendary Beasts, so it's recommended to use a Pokemon Incense on this day.

Drowsy Power Explained

A Big Snorlax Appears on Week 2

Pokemon Sleep - Big Snorlax on Raikou Event Week 2

Following the format of previous Research events, a large Snorlax will appear during the start of the second week of the Raikou, Entei, and Suicune Research event. This allows players to start at a higher Snorlax rating and potentially make it easier to encounter Suicune's rarer Sleep Styles.

Snorlax Starts at Ultra 4 on Greengrass Isle

If you choose Greengrass Isle as your research area on September 15, you can expect Snorlax to start at an Ultra 4 rating, similar to past research events.

Lower Rating Expected on Other Islands

If you choose a different event island at the start of the second week of the event, Snorlax is expected to start at a rating lower than Ultra 4 to better match the Snorlax Strength scales of the islands.

The featured Pokemon for this event are Fire-, Water-, and Electric-type Pokemon, including the Legendary Pokemon Entei, Suicune, and Raikou.

Water types can be prominently found on Cyan Beach, Fire types are abundant in Taupe Hollow, and Electric types make their home in the Old Gold Power Plant.

Greengrass Isle for All Pokemon

Pokemon Sleep - Greengrass Isle Snorlax

If you want to be able to find all three Legendary Beasts—Raikou, Entei, and Suicune—it's recommended to go to Greengrass Isle. This is an easily accessible island with the most Pokemon variety.

Greengrass Isle Map and Area Dex

Go to Expert Mode for a Challenge

If you have a strong enough team, a lot of Pokemon Sleep experience, and are interested in more of a challenge, you can go to the Greengrass Isle (Expert) area. This also has all three featured Legendary Pokemon but with some additional fully evolved Pokemon as well.

Take note that the recommended Team RP for this area is 23,000, and Expert Mode will only be unlocked once you've reached Master 18 on Greengrass Isle at least once before.

Since main skills of Fire, Water, and Electric Types are stronger for this event, it's recommended to use Raikou, Entei, or Suicune in your team. These three have very powerful main skills that can generate several hours' worth of help from you team in just an instant.

However, you may only use one Legendary Pokemon on your team at a time. These Pokemon are also stronger when teamed up with Pokemon sharing their typing.

If you're building an Entei team, some recommended Fire types are Charizard for ingredients, Ninetales for Energy, and Typhlosion for Berries. For a Suicune team, Blastoise and Vaporeon are recommended for ingredients and Feraligatr for Berries. For a Raikou team, Raichu is recommended for Berries and Ampharos and Pawmot are recommended for their skills.
