Pokemon Sleep is having a Summer Festival event from June 17, 4:00 AM local time until June 24, 3:59 AM local time as the northern hemisphere starts heating up.
Water, Flying, and Bug Pokemon are at the center of this event, as well as more Strength from cooking, and the new event feature: the Candy Cram-o-matic!
Cramorant is the first Pokemon from Generation 8 that will be added into Pokemon Sleep! It can be encountered starting at 3 PM local time on June 17, the first day of the Summer Festival event.
Cramorant Sleep Type, Helping Stats, and All Sleep Styles
A new feature being introduced is the Candy Cram-o-matic, a Cramorant-themed machine that can make Medium-sized Candy of a particular Pokemon type in exchange for Dream Shards and 40 Pokemon Candies. This also means that more Type Candies will be added into the game aside from the existing Fire-Type Candy S.
The Candy Cram-o-matic can be used up to four times per day. If you use 40 Candies of the same element type, the resulting Candy is more likely to match this type. However, like the Cram-o-matic from Pokemon Sword and Shield, there is still some randomness expected from this machine.
How to Use the Candy Cram-o-matic
Upon interacting with the Candy Cram-o-matic, Professor Neroli will give you a brief tutorial, then reward you with Pikachu Candy and Dream Shards. You can use these candies and Dream Shards to try out the Candy Cram-o-matic.
Candy Cram-o-matic Gift: Free Pikachu Candy
Shiny Squirtle | Shiny Delibird | Shiny Caterpie |
If there's a Water-type, Flying-type, or Bug-type Pokemon you want to Shiny hunt, now's your chance! All of the featured Pokemon in this event have better Shiny odds.
Make sure to choose an island that has the Pokemon you're Shiny hunting as your research area for the week. It's also recommended to do two sleep sessions per day in order to maximize the number of Pokemon you can find.
Event Date | Strength Bonus | Extra Tasty Bonus |
---|---|---|
June 17 - 22 | x1.5 | x3 |
June 23 (last day) |
x1.5 | x4.5 |
All dishes made during this event week have a 1.5x Strength boost. Extra Tasty dishes, which are normally around double (2x) the expected dish Strength, instead have triple (3x) the original dish Strength during this event.
On Sunday, June 23, this Extra Tasty bonus goes up to 4.5x. Combined with the doubled pot capacity and increased Extra Tasty chance on Sundays, you can make an exceptionally strong dish that may allow you to jump through multiple Snorlax Ratings all at once.
It may be worth adding Dedenne to your team to make the most of this boosted Extra Tasty bonus with its Tasty Chance S main skill.

Three Summer Festival Bundles will be available at the General Store from June 17, 6:00 AM UTC until June 25, 3:59 AM UTC to go with the Summer Festival event. Each bundle contains Biscuits, Incense, and Candies for the various event Pokemon, including the new Pokemon Cramorant!
Since these bundles have Vol. 1 in their names, we can expect these bundles to make a return next year, along with the Summer Festival event.
Bundles for the Summer Festival

Get Snorlax to Ultra 1 | Poke Biscuit x5 |

Cook 12 times | Dream Cluster S x5 |
There are seven event missions available during the Summer Festival, with the rewards being particularly helpful for the week. All of the Dream Shard rewards should help replenish what you use for the Candy Cram-o-matic.
Cramorant Incense can only be used starting from 3 PM on June 17, while on Greengrass Isle, Cyan Beach, or Snowdrop Tundra.
Research Area | Featured Pokemon |
---|---|
Greengrass Isle | |
Cyan Beach | |
Snowdrop Tundra | |
Lapis Lakeside |
Greengrass Isle has most of the featured event Pokemon, only lacking Golduck and Slowking. However, the large amount of Pokemon means it's less likely that you'll be able to find all of them during the week.
There are notably no Water, Flying, or Bug Pokemon in Taupe Hollow.
You can expect to see many of these Water-, Flying-, and Bug-type Pokemon after your sleep sessions during the Summer Festival event. All of these Pokemon will also have an increased Shiny rate.
Doing the maximum amount of Sleep Sessions, which is two, allows you to see the most amount of Pokemon you can each day. This means that you have more chances of finding a Shiny Pokemon!
Take note that this will divide your Sleep Score between the two sessions, which means you may struggle to find rarer Sleep Styles until the very end of the week.
Best Time for Second Sleep Session
Cyan Beach is the best place to complete your Sleep Style Dex for Water-type Pokemon. They're all present in this research area and have their complete set of Sleep Styles.
Cyan Beach Area Dex and How to Unlock
Scale-Scattering Sleep | Shiny Metapod |
If you want to Shiny hunt or research Sleep Styles of Butterfree or Metapod, Greengrass Isle is the only island they're available in.
Greengrass Isle Map and Area Dex
Since there are no Water-, Flying-, or Bug-type Pokemon available in Taupe Hollow, it is not recommended to go to this island during this event week. Only go to Taupe Hollow if you absolutely do not want to see any of the featured Pokemon.

These are some of the strongest curry recipes in Pokemon Sleep. However, "Inferno" Corn Keema Curry and "Dream Eater" Butter Curry may be difficult to make outside of Sunday or without a Cooking Power-Up S boost.
The other recipes should be able to fit in a pot at maximum capacity. However, your maximum pot limit will still depend on your Sleep Style Dex progress. Always try to choose curry recipes with the highest Strength value that can fit into your pot.
