Pokemon Sleep has concluded its Valentine's Day Event featuring two brand new dessert and drink recipes! Certain Pokemon that pick up dessert ingredients will also be more common during this week. Read on for a full list of event bonuses and featured Pokemon, as well as tips on the best Helper Pokemon to use and dessert recipes to make during this Valentine's Day event!
List of Contents
The Pokemon Sleep Valentine's Day Event begins and ends at 4 AM Local Time for All Time Zones.
The week-long Valentine's Day 2024 Event for Pokemon Sleep is now over! This event took place from February 12 at 4:00 AM local time to February 19, 3:59 AM local time.
Event Date | Strength Bonus | Extra Tasty Bonus |
---|---|---|
February 12 - 17 | x1.5 | x3 |
February 18 (last day) |
x1.5 | x4.5 |
Pokemon Sleep is making our Valentine's week sweeter by giving us dish strength bonuses all week long!
All dishes made during this week will have a 1.5x Strength boost. Extra Tasty dishes, which are normally double (2x) the expected dish Strength, will instead have triple (3x) the original dish Strength during this event.
On February 18, the last day of the Valentine's Day event, this bonus goes up to 4.5x. Combined with the doubled pot capacity on Sundays, you can make an exceptionally strong dish that may allow you to jump through multpile Snorlax Ratings all at once.
Every dish has a random chance of being Extra Tasty. It is unclear what affects this chance, but adding more ingredients than the recipe calls for is believed to help. At the very least, adding as many ingredients as you can helps increase the Strength of the dish.
Cooking Guide: Tips for Increasing Dish Strength and Best Dishes
Regardless of which research area you choose for the week, your Snorlax will have Desserts and Drinks as their cooking request. All of the event bonuses should also apply to all research area islands.
However, the featured Pokemon for this event will only appear in their designated research areas.
New Dessert/Drink Recipes | |
---|---|
"Petal Dance" Chocolate Tart |
"Flower Gift" Macarons |
Two new Dessert and Drink recipes have been added to Pokemon Sleep for the Valentine's Day 2024 Event! These new dishes are the “Petal Dance” Chocolate Tart and the “Flower Gift” Macarons.
Dish | Description | Recipe |
---|---|---|
“Petal Dance” Chocolate Tart | A tricksy tart that scatters flower petals when you eat it. |
・
Soothing Cacao
x11
・ Fancy Apple x11 |
This is a simple recipe that requires only Soothing Cacao and Fancy Apples. Soothing Cacao can be obtained from the featured Pokemon in this event, while Fancy Apple is best obtained by Raichu, a level 30 Pinsir or a level 30 Delibird.
Dish | Description | Recipe |
---|---|---|
“Flower Gift” Macarons | These macarons are perfect to give as a gift—they always make the recipient smile. |
・
Soothing Cacao
x25
・ Fancy Egg x25 ・ Honey x17 ・ Moomoo Milk x10 |
The “Flower Gift” Macarons recipe calls for Soothing Cacao and Honey, both ingredients easily obtainable from the Pokemon featured in this event, as well as Fancy Egg and Moomoo Milk. The best Pokemon for getting the Fancy Egg ingredient is Delibird. For Moomoo Milk, Blastoise and its pre-evolutions are some of the best Pokemon you can use.
List of Dessert and Drink Recipes
During the Valentine's Day Event, Pokemon of all sleep types will be available during sleep research after sleep sessions, as if you have a Balanced Sleep Type for every sleep session. This means that you don't have to aim for a particular Sleep Type if you're hoping for one of the featured Pokemon to appear.
All Sleep Types and How to Get Each One
Shiny Bulbasaur | Shiny Jigglypuff | Shiny Slowpoke |
All of the featured Pokemon have increased Shiny odds during this Valentine's Day Event. The list of Pokemon with greater chances of being Shiny include Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Slowpoke, Pinsir, Chikorita, and Absol.
If Shiny hunting is your aim, it's recommended to do two sleep sessions per day in order to maximize the number of Pokemon you can find.
Shiny Hunting Guide: How to Get Shiny Pokemon
Mission | Reward |

Get Snorlax to Basic 2 | Poke Biscuit x5 |
Get Snorlax to Ultra 1 | Ingredient Ticket M x1 |

Similar to past week-long events, special missions will be available for this Valentine's Day event alongside the regular weekly missions.
In line with the cooking theme for this event, some of the big rewards for these event missions include Ingredient Ticket M and Ingredient Ticket S.

Three special event-themed bundles will be available at the General Store from February 11, 4:00 AM UTC to February 20, 3:59 AM UTC.
Each bundle contains Biscuits and either Ingredient Ticket S or Ingredient Ticket M, which can help you make the most of the cooking bonuses during this event! The medium and large bundles also contain Pokemon Incense for the featured event Pokemon.
Bundles for Valentine's Day 2024
To help with our dessert-making this week, a free gift containing Soothing Cacao, Ingredient Ticket S, and Poke Biscuits have been distributed on Valentine's Day, February 14! To claim these items, go to your gift box located at the top right of the menu.
Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Slowpoke, Pinsir, Chikorita, and Absol will all have a higher chance of appearing after sleep sessions during the Valentine's Day event.
Since Pokemon of all Sleep Types can appear regardless of your personal Sleep Type during your sleep session, you don't have to worry about sleeping a particular way to encounter the Pokemon you want. However, these Pokemon will only be available in research areas that they already appear in.
Research Area | Featured Pokemon |
---|---|
Greengrass Isle | |
Cyan Beach | |
Taupe Hollow | |
Snowdrop Tundra | |
Lapis Lakeside |
All of the featured Valentine's Day Pokemon will be available on Greengrass Isle. Other islands will have a sparser selection, which may be beneficial if you're aiming for just one particular Pokemon.
Jigglypuff is available in all research areas.
Pinsir and Absol are two of the rarer Pokemon you can find in Pokemon Sleep. They have no evolutionary lines, so the only way to get them is to find them in the wild and befriend them with Biscuits. They also tend to have higher friendship point requirements, so you may need to encounter them multiple times in order to befriend them.
This Valentine's Day event gives you more opportunities to find and befriend these rare Pokemon. Getting their Sleep Styles registered will also be helpful to reach your next Sleep Style Dex Goal.
Biscuit Guide: Befriending Pokemon and Friendship Level Rewards
Cherrim's face is featured on the official banner for this event. Now, this could just be an easter egg-type dish like how "Huge Power" Soy Donuts feature an Azumarill design. It's possible that this is just hinting that this macaron dish is called "Flower Gift" Macarons.
However, new Pokemon additions have been teased in previous event banners before, though there has been no news of any new Pokemon during this event.
If you want to see all the featured Pokemon, Greengrass Isle is the only research area that has them all. Greengrass Isle is also accessible to everyone, regardless of whether you're new to Pokemon Sleep or have been playing since launch.

“Flower Gift” Macarons, one of the newest dishes added into Pokemon Sleep is actually the strongest dessert recipe you can make. It requires a total of 77 ingredients, however, so you might want to try this only on Sunday when your cooking pot capacity is doubled.
These Pokemon are best equipped to help you gather the ingredients required for the recommended recipes above. Most of these are Ingredients Specialty Pokemon that can obtain more ingredients in less time.
To quickly get the ingredients for both brand new Valentine's recipes, you'll want to use a Blastoise with level 30 Soothing Cacao, a Delibird with level 30 Fancy Apple, and a Pinsir with level 30 Fancy Apple.
If your Pokemon aren't at level 30 yet, you can have Raichu obtain the Fancy Apples and Absol get Soothing Cacao. You can also have Venusaur get Honey if you don't have Pinsir.
Dessert/Drink Ingredients to Focus On | ||
---|---|---|
Fancy Apple | Moomoo Milk | Honey |
Fancy Egg | Warming Ginger | Greengrass Corn |
Soothing Cacao |
Although these ingredients don't cover all the recommended recipes above, these are the ones you can use for multiple high-Strength dishes. It's best to choose helper Pokemon that can pick up at least one of these ingredients for this week.
