As part of the Catching Some Z's even in Pokemon GO, players are tasked to record their sleep using the new Pokemon GO Plus Plus (+) device for a total of 35 days. Each objective met will result in a Night Cap Snorlax as a reward.
However, recent gameplay has revealed a way to circumvent this in order to get Shiny Snorlax in a Night Cap much quicker.

Pokemon GO Plus+ Purchase Guide
The Date and Time Skip Glitch will require you to coordinate between the Pokemon GO app, your Pokemon GO Plus+, and your Date and Time settings.
Follow these steps precisely to ensure that you execute the method correctly.
How to Get Nightcap Snorlax Within 1 Day | |
---|---|
Step | Method |

3 | Adjust Date and Time one day forward (You must set the Date and Time settings to "Manual") |
4 | Return to the Pokemon GO App |
5 | Hold middle button on Pokemon GO Plus+ until device vibrates and glows blue to start a Sleep Session |
6 | Wait for 90 minutes (Keep Pokemon GO running in the background) |
7 | After the 90 minutes have passed, hold middle button on Pokemon GO Plus+ again to end sleep session |
8 | Press the Quick Reconnect Button in the Pokemon GO App |
Repeat | Back to Step 2 |
If you do this successfully, your Sleep Data for the manually set new date will sync and you will progress one day of the Sleep Research Task! Follow the steps repeatedly and you should be able to get Night Cap Snorlax in 1 day!
When trying out the Pokemon GO Plus+ Date Skip method, please bear in mind that it only works with Pokemon GO and not with Pokemon Sleep.
Trying it out with Pokemon Sleep will not increase Pokemon encounters.
The Pokemon GO Plus+ also works on Android devices, and requires the same things as when you're doing it on iOS. You must have the Pokemon GO app, a Pokemon GO Plus+, and access to your Date and Time settings.

As of writing, there are no known methods on how to tweak the Date and Time setting to circumvent the game's session restrictions per day without a Pokemon GO Plus+.
In order for this method to work, a Pokemon GO Plus+ is required, as a huge part of it will depend on the device.
The Date and Time Skip Glitch is a method of encountering Night Cap Snorlax much quicker, as opposed to manually meeting the required 7~35 days of sleep tracking.
With the increased number of encounters with Night Cap Snorlax, players can attempt to score the very rare Shiny Night Cap Snorlax!
