The Dozing Sleep Type Pattern is a sleeping pattern players can do to acquire different types of Pokemon in Pokemon Sleep. Learn helpful tips and tricks on how to do the Dozing Sleep Type, what it is, and what Pokemon you can get here!
List of Contents
The Dozing Sleep Type is defined by the game as sleeping shallowly, where a person moves very frequently and may make a lot of noise.
Since this Sleep Style is not necessarily the healthiest Sleep Type, we recommend that players try to get this on their extra sleep session, with alarms set at 15 to 20 minute intervals.
The Dozing Sleep Type Pattern can be acquired if one moves around a lot or makes a lot of noise while they sleep. This involves frequent tossing and turning and some sleeptalking, perhaps due to a vivid dream.
Snoring and frequent short wakes, perhaps to go to the bathroom in the midle of the night, also count. This Sleep Type may be acquired if one sleeps shallowly.
Another way of obtaining this Sleep Type is by leaving your device in a room in your home where activity is most present, perhaps the living room or the dining area, and check it often, perhaps at intervals of 15 to 20 minutes.
If you have a separate timer or alarm, it might help if you set it at the aforementioned intervals to remind you to check your device.
How to Play Pokemon Sleep Without Sleeping
In Pokemon Sleep, you can record up to two sleep sessions per day for a minimum of 90 minutes. If you're planning to collect the most Pokemon within a single day, we recommend using the second sleep session to get a different Sleep Type.
For strategical purposes, we also recommend getting the Dozing Sleep Type exclusively on your non-bedtime sleep session, with Snoozing, Slumbering, and Balanced Sleep Types on your regular sleep sessions.
Best Time for Second Sleep Session
Starting from your third sleep session, your Sleep Type will be determined by comparing your results to your previous Sleep Sessions.
If you're consistently a Slumbering sleeper, it might be easier for you to get the Dozing Sleep Type simply by moving around a lot before and after falling asleep.
Take note that if your activity levels remain consistent for every Sleep Session, you are more likely to get the Balanced Sleep Type Pattern.
You can acquire these Pokemon when you get a Dozing Sleep Type Pattern in Pokemon Sleep. Grass-type, Poison-type, and Dark-type Pokemon are more likely to be Dozing Type sleepers.

This section is for Trainers who want to get the most out of Pokemon Sleep by actually trying to get some sleep.
The Dozing Sleep Type is quite tricky to achieve because it involves a lot of frequent wakes and activity. Therefore, we recommend that this Sleep Type not be made regular by players. However, here are a few tips on how to make it asier to attain.
And by "lots", we mean a lot of fluids. Staying hydrated is not only good for your body, but it will also enable your body to wake up often to go to the bathroom. Just be sure to check your smartphone while you're at it.
A nice trick that some people do when they want to avoid feeling groggy after a nap is to do a caffiene power nap. However, the drawback of doing this is that it could lead to a lesser quality of sleep, so it's not recommended to do this regularly.
Start by drinking caffiene 15 minutes before sleeping. Your mind will be more active during the sleeping session, leading to tossing, turning, and possibly more vivid dreams. Additionally, the grogginess will be negated.
Most devices nowadays give off blue light through their screens. This blue light is one of the many reasons why many people find it difficult to sleep at night.
In this Sleep Type's case, occasionally looking at your devices will already contribute to keeping your mind active throughout the night. However, be careful to not overly saturate yourself in blue light, lest you want to stay awake completely.
Keeping your mind preoccupied through the night by influencing it with various media may also help you achieve the Dozing Sleep Type easier. Strangely, and ironically, the mind tends to be more active when you try to get some sleep.
Try deep-diving into the internet about a certain topic you find intriguing. It could be anything. For example, the different Pokemon evolutions and their origin. Perhaps read a book or watch a movie. Your mind won't be able to let it go for a while.
