New Moon Day is a 3-day monthly event in Pokemon Sleep that features the mythical Pokemon Darkrai! Read on for more information about this New Moon event, the event bonuses, and featured Pokemon.

Chance to Encounter a Shiny Pokemon

The Shiny odds appear to be boosted for all Pokemon during the New Moon Day event! Try to plan out the research area you want to stay at ahead of time if you are looking for a particular Shiny Pokemon.
If you want to maximize your chances of getting Shiny Pokemon, it’s recommended to do two sleep sessions per day during this event.

Pokemon Won't Get Full Easily
After you complete a sleep session and do sleep research, you will enter Snack Time, where you can give Biscuits to Pokemon that appeared in your sleep research.
Normally, Pokemon get full after giving them two or three Biscuits—sometimes more for evolved Pokemon. During the New Moon event, it will take more Biscuits for a Pokemon to become full, giving you better chances of befriending that Pokemon.

Chance to Get Darkrai
If you weren't able to get Darkrai during the Cresselia vs. Darkrai event, you have another chance here! The conditions to befriend Darkrai during the New Moon event is currently unknown, but once you fulfill the requirement, Darkrai will likely be added to your Box automatically, without you having to use a Biscuit.
Darkrai Sleep Type, Helping Stats, and All Sleep Styles
Earn Eureka Seeds
For those that already have Darkrai, this is your chance to obtain more Eureka Seeds. These special seeds can be used to unlock or modify Darkrai's obtainable ingredients and sub skills.
To get a Eureka Seed, you must give Darkrai Biscuits and fill its friendship meter.
