Evolution via Evolution Items

Some Pokemon need to be exposed to evolution stones or certain items for them to evolve to their next stage.

Pokemon that usually needs to be traded to another player can evolve with a Linking Cord.

You can purchase these evolution items in the Regular Exchange store using Sleep Points, or get them from clearing certain achievements.

Do note that you also need the Pokemon's corresponding candy to fully complete their evolution requirements.

List of All Evolution Items and How to Get Them

Evolution via Sleeping

Pokemon that conventionally evolve via friendship in the mainline games, like some baby Pokemon, have a different method of evolving in Pokemon Sleep.

In the app, you need to include them during your sleep sessions and log a specific number of hours slept before they can meet the requirements to evolve. They also need their corresponding candy to meet the requirements.

Sleep Session Mechanics

Time of Day Evolutions

Some Pokemon need to evolve around a certain time during the day to reach their next stage.

Pokemon that need to evolve during daytime can do so from 6 AM to 6 PM, while those that only evolve during the night can evolve between 6 PM to 6 AM. To evolve these Pokemon, you only need to tap on the Evolve button within these time frames once you've fulfilled the other necessary requirements.

Note that you also need to log some hours of sleep with these Pokemon, which you can do by including them in your team during sleep sessions, and have the required amount of candy they need to evolve.
