What is Error Code 009901
Error Code 009901 has been encountered by several players in line with the newest update of Pokemon Sleep. It is an update error code that will prompt an action in the player's end, which is most likely just updating the app.

Update Error Codes are common in games that require frequent updates. These errors usually appear when updates start rolling out mid-game, of if the app hasn't been updated manually.

Update Pokemon Sleep App
The simplest way around this error code is updating the Pokemon Sleep app.
To do this, simply go to either your Google Play Store or Apple App Store and check to see Pokemon Sleep has an update waiting. If it does, simply tap on Update and wait for it to be installed. Once finished, you should be able to log in.
Uninstall and Reinstall Pokemon Sleep
A good way of finding your way around an error code is by uninstalling then reinstalling the app.
This may be a tedious process at first, considering that you have to log back into the app apart from having to wait for a little while longer, but this fixes most error codes so it just might be worth it.
Clearing Out Your Cache Data
Cache data can pose as a connectivity obstacle on most occasions. Clearing them out can improve Pokemon Sleep's connectivity and eliminate the error.
