The Electric Type Week Event is all about Electric types! From March 11, 4:00 AM local time until March 18, 3:59 AM local time, Electric-type Pokemon will have an increased encounter chance in all research areas that they naturally reside in.

To help you encounter these featured Pokemon, Pokemon of all sleep types will be available during sleep research this week, as if you have a Balanced Sleep Type for every sleep session. This means that you don't have to aim for a particular Sleep Type if you're hoping for a specific Pokemon to appear.

New Pokemon: Dedenne

Pokemon Sleep - New Arrival Dedenne

Dedenne will made its Pokemon Sleep debut on March 11, the first day of the Electric Type Week Event! Dedenne will be available on Greengrass Isle and Lapis Lakeside, and as an Electric-type, it's also one of the featured Pokemon for this event.

Electric Type Week in Preparation for Raikou Research Event

Pokemon Sleep - Raikou Research Event

The Electric Type Week Event is being held in preparation for the Raikou Research Event where Electric-type Pokemon will be more effective helpers.

If you don't have a lot of Electric types in your box, use the Electric Type Week Event to build your Electric helper team. You can also focus on gathering Pokemon Candy for your Electric-type Pokemon and level them up quickly with help from the Mini Candy Boost function.

Electric Type Week Event Bonuses, Missions, and Rewards

Guaranteed Hungry Pokemon

Pokemon Sleep - Hungry Pokemon

During the Electric Type Week Event, there will always be at least one hungry Pokemon during snack time after your first sleep session of the day. Hungry Pokemon are guaranteed to get either a Big Hit (x3 Biscuit effect) or a Mega Hit (automatic max Friendship) when given a Biscuit, allowing you to more easily befriend them.

Mini Candy Boost Function

Pokemon Sleep - Candy Boost Wigglytuff

The Candy Boost function from the Holiday 2023 Event makes a return, but in a more limited form as the Mini Candy Boost function during the Electric Type Week.

Regular and Mini Candy Boost Comparison

Candy Boost Function Dream Shards Used EXP Gained from Candy Limit
Regular x6 x2 N/A
Mini x4 x2 50 Candies per day

The Mini Candy Boost function still doubles EXP gains from Candy while using only 4 times more Dream Shards (compared to the regular Candy Boost's 6), but you can only use up to 50 Candies per day. This makes the feature more accessible to newer players with less Dream Shards while preventing players with more Dream Shards from overleveling their Pokemon.

Take note that this feature is automatically turned on during the event. However, you can manually toggle it off on the level up screen. Also take note that both Candy Boost versions are affected by EXP Natures.

Recommended to Use on Electric Types

During the Electric Type Week Event, it's recommended to use the Mini Candy Boost function to level up your Electric-type Pokemon and make a strong team for the Raikou Research Event.
